This was purchased as the 3ea set (labeled "3Pack-New" on the Amazon site) and shown to be a Hardwired combo Smoke/CO detector. Unfortunately, this "3Pack-New" version of the product is not a hardwired version. The package makes no mention of hardwiring and there is no wiring harness to connect it to the house/building wiring.When I informed the company of this issue, they quickly responded and said they would send a replacement set. They did (pleased with the quick action); however, they shipped the same non-hardwired set. When contacted again, the company refunded my order (again, well done with the quick response).Please be aware that the "3Pack-New" set is for the GS886C (battery powered only, no hardwiring) and the "3Pack" set is for the GS886F (the hardwired version).

Great upgrade to the 10 year old smoke only detectors. Look nice if not a little commercial grade which is a plus for me. The LEDs are a little brighter than an older style unit - but that could save a life if it goes off in the dark. The voice is clear and the alarm is loud, again could save a life of a heavy sleeper or hearing impaired. See you, Siterwell, in 10 years or so when these reach their end of life

Works like a charm. This unit fit perfectly into the in-wall space where my old hardwired detector was. Easy installation. And this one is CO2 and smoke detection versus just smoke detection on my old one. It even talks! Tells you the amount of CO2 in the air and if it's high "Evacuate Now." For smoke detection it says "Call 911. Evacuate now." We even had a power outage a few days after this detector was installed in my condo and when the power went out, the detector stayed on thanks to the battery backup and also gave verbal notice "Power outage. Power is off." And when power was restored, it said "Power is restored." The constant green halo lets you know the unit is working and as I quickly found out, even when power failed, the battery back-up kept the unit on and functioning.

Experienced the same issue of a review from June 2023-Purchased a 3 pack in hard wired smoke/Co detectors, within 1-2 months had one fail and wouldn't work with a "battery error". Returned and replaced them (my mistake) to install some new ones. Installed new in July 2024. This week I had my first alarm from cooking. These were supposed to be smart enough to avoid the false alarm, I guess not. Immediately after alarming I got a low battery chirp just on the detector that alarmed. I thought "its only been three months maybe the factory batteries used were aged”. I replace with the listed brand new energizer lithium batteries and the same alarm is chirping Low battery. Swapped them within the circuit and this one continues to fail. The return window is closed and I’m left with a malfunctioning alarm and no way to complete my circuit, leaving my house open to risk.Amazon says contact the company, which so far seems like no one there cares.AVOID

Multifunction for gas and fire. Great value for the money. Installed easily since hard wire was already available. Don’t have to worry about it going dead but also has battery back up if power goes out.
