I should’ve bought a stainless one because first time I used it on carbon the tip flattened.. Also the level fell out after a week

I have spent years trying to find the center of pipes only to be off by just enough to cause a leak or be off kilter to be noticed by people who value symmetry and such. Yes, I have used squares and pieces of wood with a 90 degree notch {sort or/almost) with a hole drilled to use a pencil to mark the center only to realize I don't have the tools to calibrate my table saw blade or drill close enough to get all the variables nailed down. I was really depressed for a while, knowing my friends could find the absolute center of a pipe of tube while I could only estimate where it might be. Now, my centers and angles no longer cause me anxiety or hair loss. Seriously, the heft and construction of this handy thing make me believe that as long as I can find this tool, I will be happy and my projects will stand the scrutiny of my best friends,... and those other guys, too

Item was used for pipefitting, in a shop. First tap from a hammer and the level vile shot across my booth. Unable to use, I suppose I could superglue the vile back in.¿ Needless to say I purchased a different top finder, the red one.been using it for over a month, no problems.
