Works great! However the control valve for the flow is not that strong. I assumed because this filter was more for betta tanks that the adjustable feature would have a low flow for them with turning the valve but it did not. It’s definitely too high even at the lowest flow it offers, for long finned bettas but for plakats this wouldn’t be too much of an issue. Everything else looks to be working nicely though!

After setting/gifting a tankful of cherry shrimps to my mom, I took the plunge and set up a nano tank for my bedroom. I used to have a turtle, but she died and I wanted another roommate. I selected the XS version of the water filter for two reasons. First, the intake tube has a cloth wrapping to prevent baby shrimps from getting sucked in. They are tiny enough for this to happen. Second, I needed a filter that wouldn't create too much noise. When I tested this product, I confirmed the noise was a mere whisper and wouldn't disturb my sleep.I already placed a bunch of cherry shrimps into my nano tank, and they swim pass the intake valve with no problem.

Nice flow.. I have it on my shrimp 🍤 tank and they’re not being blown around the tank.

It is doing a great job. Before the water would become cloudy. It is super clear after cleaning. We have a 2.5 gal tank. It needs to be clean again but if you’re not looking at the glass, it’s hard to tell.

I have a 3 gallon freshwater tank that used the extra small Mighty Aquarium filter for about 1.5 months. I got back home from work to find it not working recently and the filter felt hot to the touch. The water was filled correctly per the instructions within the filter, and everything was in place. I unplugged the filter, and I did a water change for that tank since it was time to clean the tank anyways, and then when I plug the filter back in, it made a whirring sound and grew hot to the touch again. I safely disposed of it since it seemed like a fire hazard despite water being in it while in use. I contacted the seller, but they require a video or photo of the dead product, but since I threw it away due to being a fire hazard, I could not send the photo to them. Without the video or photo of the dead product, they would not help me replace the product or do anything about it.

It looks nice but it's a bit noisy, especially for such a small pump. I'll be looking for a better alternative.

These reviews are hard to trust but I purchased this filter knowing that my friend owns this filter and has been successfully farming little shrimps.I’ve had it for month and I know what some review mean about loud noise. But that was easily fixed for me when I fiddled around with the filter. Plug it out, make sure it’s hanging in the right way. It’s like when things get clanky when you don’t put dishes in the right way into the dishwasher. That only happened one time and It’s been working quietly ever since.Highly recommended when you don’t want to pay too much money and just want something that will work!
