Got this for my 5.5-gallon betta tank and it works great! It's very quiet and easy to take apart for cleaning. It didn't come with instructions, but the instructions are on the Amazon page.

Very loud. Advertised as extremely quiet. So loud I can hear it in the other room. Don’t bother buying this brand. Spend a little more and get something else.

Arrived just fine but with no instructions. Tried to put everything together and seemed to sort of work but the suction wasn’t good and it took forever for it to start trickling out the top as it should.It ran fine for a day with very little noise but after the 2nd day had to unplug it as it was making a lot of noise. Took it apart to find the little spindle the impeller spun around had broken and it was causing it to wobble and become really noisy.

Good quality and works as it needs to with very little noise, I used a bit of foam from the package to stop the contact between the plastic and glass and now its near silent! Keeps the tank clean and my fish are happy! Great value!

I have to have it on the exact lowest setting or else it just overflows and spills out through the back, the lid doesnt even help as so much water will back up that it just pushes the lid off from the sheer force. Even impacting the intake with a filter sponge does not denote this effect, if I wasnt desperate for a filter right now I'd send it right back, this was a complete waste of money, and I've never ever in my life had a filter that does this. Do not buy this thing, it does not work.

When I first reviewed this little filter/pump I stated that it was not put together well. After this filter has been running for several months I am now giving it 5 STARS. I realize now that it was just the bottom cap that was crooked and had nothing to do with the running or function of the pump. I have this on a 5g Betta tank along with some Rasboras, shrimp and snails and it is a little power house! I have never had a pump run this quiet and do such a good job of filtering the water. I highly recommend this product!

This is the smallest filter I have ever used. I will give you this. It is incredibly quite easy to set up. Make sure you pull water into the filter to get it going other than that been running about a week. So not a bad small filter nothing above, 5 gallons.

CAUTION: Do not use the skimmer if fish are less than 5/8 inches long. They will be sucked into the filter like some of mine did.

You need to have the water lever almost to the top of the unit or it doesn't filter and makes a grinding sound.

Let me first say, it is a nice filter for my 3 gallon tank, and it’s really quiet. I’m missing one part so now I don’t know if the rest works.
