I purchased these hemming feet for my older Kenmore 385 sewing machine. The Kenmore needs an adapter on the bottom of the shank to be able to grab these hemming feet. I purchased separately for $6.99 the shank adapter, (TISEKER Snap On Low Shank Adapter Presser Foot Holder for Brother, Singer, Janome, Babylock, Toyota, Kenmore, New Home, Simplicity Low Shank Sewing Machine). The TISEKER doesn't come with the screw to secure the adapter onto the shank, so use the one already on your machine. This adapter perfectly grabs the Madam Sew hemming feet. The Madam Sew Hemming feet work very well to create perfect hems. Hemming was my worst sewing task to complete, but these hemming feet make it very simple with great results.

My daughter asked if I would sew some simple rod pocket drapes; however, they were over 10 feet long and there were four panels. I watched a YouTube video of a woman using this brand of the hem foot so I thought I'd give it a try. I liked that there were three sizes and that they fit any standard low shank sewing machine. I have both a Brother and a Singer and it fit both. It takes a little practice to wrap the material around the fabric holder, but once you master that, the sewing is fast and easy. The hems were uniform in width the entire 10+ feet. What a time saver - no need to press or pin.. It also comes in a nice storage box.

The foot does seem great, but it doesn’t come in a box, just a plastic bag and there isn’t any instructions as per the ad.

I like Madame Sew products and this one was no exception. The rolled hem set is much wider than the ones which come with many modern or vintage machines and therefore, more useful in our modern world. I can envision them being a real time saver if someone was doing sets of drapes or anything with massive edges to conceal and hem. I worked with them and like most rolled hemmers kind of thought it was more work than it was worth but kept them because you just never know when you are going to get a hankering to make a few miles of drapes or something :-0
