I bought this some time ago and hadn't tried it yet as I was in the middle of a project and didn't want to experiment. I wish I had. It fits my 1960 Singer 403 Slant-o-matic like it was made for it originally, smoothed out the tension, and the machine is very happy with the extra boost. So am I. I may never use anything else.

This walking foot did not work on my Singer 301. It caused the machine to bind when stitching. Didn’t try before return window closed so my loss

This is for the slant Singer machines, it fits my 1957 Singer Slant 401A. I used it to sew a hem on a coat yesterday. It would work well for knit materials that would otherwise shift position when sewn.

Fit my Nan’s old Singer Solid State with no issues! Not that it really needs a walking foot (they don’t call it “solid” for nothin’), but it’s a great foot to have! Go for it if you’ve been considering this for your slant shank machine.

I’m making quilts for Christmas gifts and this attachment has been THE BEST, fabric feeds smoothly, it’s easy to attach to the machine and very durable. Wish I had bought it sooner.

I have an older Singer with a slant shank. This foot works beautifully.

I was worried it may not work as well as a Singer brand walking foot, but it works just fine.

Rec today 8/6/friday...Finally a generic walking foot that fits my Singer late 1960s (blue face) 638 touch n sew!! This Singer machine has 3 needle positions, so be careful sewing 1/4 in seams, you cannot use the very edge of the foot accurately as a quarter in seam measure, even at Lt or Rt needle positions. Also, an attaching thumb screw was not included for the shank nor a quilting guide bar...FYI On the foot itself you cannot attach a quilting channel bar to the foot...there are no back holes on this walking foot to attach any guide.I am very HAPPY with the price, walks very quietly, and sews straight without any wobbling...and most of all, it FITS the shank and over the feed dogs exactly as it should. The bubble wrap and box and plastic mailer looks like it was in a war going through postal service, but the item itself was in pristine condition....Again, I appreciate the availability of the product n very reasonable price. thanks!!!😎👍👍 NM

Product was an improvement when sewing dissimilar fabrics. Issues with dropped stitches in a few areas. On one blanket with about 250" total edging, there was one two inch gap where the stitches didn't catch, and maybe five locations with a single missed stitch. I over stitched the larger area and solved the issue.

I bought this to go on a Singer 301 which is supposed to use part # 421333-S.This product doesn’t not fit the 301 very well. First, the slot on the “arm” which catches the needle shank is too shallow and binds somewhat. Second, the needle scrapes the front of the slot in the foot.It is possible to make it “usable” but it didn’t fit the 301 very well.
