There are many epoxy products that seal well. What made my use of this product successful was luck: The color matched perfectly with an old 1950's bathroom sink. Any color variation would have been less than optimum. I was lucky.Very happy with the outcome.

We had a hairline crack in our surround tub. These worked great to repair the tub. The con was it is WHITE and our tub is more an off white so you can tell where the repair is.

No need to wait days to cure, it applied and sanded down cleanly. Unfortunately the color isn’t perfect for my shower pan (I think it’s in between white and bone) but I found I have to really look to notice even though I was the one doing the repair, so I’m overall very happy

I had a small chip (1/8"w x 3/16"l x 1/16" deep) in the bottom of the shower. After shopping and reading reviews this product appeared to be the best. IMO they should give more instructions for using a smaller amount. 1/2 jar is probably going to be way too much for most repairs. I used an amount equal what I could dip out with the stick. Probably about the size of the end of my little finger. I mixed in 2 drops of hardener. I applied it with a small, flat toothpick which worked very well. Pushed it into the chip and then overfilled it as directed to account for shrinking. After about an hour I checked what I had on the small piece of cardboard and it was fairly well set but still very slightly pliable.I never wanted to sand this so what I did is to take a brand-new razor blade and carefully slice off small slices off the stop until it was flush. It worked out perfectly! No sanding and re-sanding and polishing or any of that. I wanted to avoid sanding because when that is done you are taking away some of the existing gelcoat which seem counterintuitive to me. You have to be careful and hold the razor blade parallel with the surface but IMO this is the best way to do this in my particular situation.

I used this product to patch some small chips in my tub. The color matched well and it was easy enough to apply. This stuff smells very strong. So strong in fact that you can smell it through the box. Once I was done, I had to put this stuff in 2 ziploc bags, then stuff them inside an old toolbox so it didnt stink up my garage cabinet. As for the bathroom, I kept the fan on and the door open and it only took about a day for it to fully air out. Results look decent, im happy with it at least.

This worked very well. Easy instructions. Be sure to read them and follow =DThere is a strong smell so cover your mouth and nose. Wear gloves. Be sure to have the exhaust fan on and open a window if you can. If you have a floor fan that would be good tooThe order goes away really fast as the stuff is drying. This is really white so you can see in the photo the difference. Apparently my stall is a tad off white. The photo really picks up the white. Just looking at it with out camera it blends well. I have had it on for a couple weeks and it is holding up so well.I tried to get someone in to just fix the couple spots. Oh my, they want to redo the entire shower stall $9,000 Come on ???Thank you for having this productIrene

Good kit, plenty of product for even a 10" repair. I am sure it is excellent for chips. I repaired an 8" long stress crack in a fiberglass shower. The instructions are good. I recommend letting it cure overnight, 3 hours is pushing it. Have some 180 sandpaper and a sanding block to knock down the inevitable ridges you will create when applying the resin mixture with the popsicle stick (included). Then use the 2-step sandpaper in the package. Follow with 1000 grit and then use the Flitz polish with a papertowel. It really did come out great, just make sure you sand it smooth. Use a thin cloth like a handkerchief under your hand to rub over it to feel for rough or uneven spots. You will get it if you are patient and have good lighting.

UPDATE! After about 1 week, the patch started to peel away from the surface. It was worth a try, but it didn’t work. This was a repair to an IKEA ceramic sink. The sink is 11 years old and of course they don’t make it anymore. And of course the cabinet that the sink fits into is custom for that sink, so sink replacement wasn’t a viable option either. So I used this kit to repair it. The hole in my sink was right in the corner so it was hard to spread and hard to sand, but being patient I took my time and got it done. I used epoxy to glue the broken pieces back in place, then I put this repair over top. It is not a color match, but it’s good enough. It seems strong, and hopefully it will last a while.

Purchased this to fix a chip in a shower pan. The pan is bright white and this is marketed as bright white, I know there are countless shades of white and this was not bad, but the color difference was noticeable on a small 1.5" x 1/16" chip.So far the product has worked as advertised, sanded well, smell was not bad considering what I've read on the reviews, easy to use, good instructions. The polishing paste amount is minimal and if you are going to use the full amount I suggest you get more paste. Same with the sandpaper.I was surprised and disappointed that inside the shipping box was a label for this product indicating it cost of $16.99, when I paid $39.99. Everything is over inflated in price and I see this is no exception. I Wish Amazon would work more to keep their customers happy with reasonably price items.

I noticed a flaw in the gel coat of a shower base after it’s installation and successfully repaired it with the Tub and Shower Repair Kit. The instructions were helpful and the process was quite easy. I used a rotary power tool for polishing after sanding and while the color is off, the end result is quite acceptable.
