I've ordered several of these for my solar roof mounts. The 3 tubes of black I ordered are unusable. They will not come out of the tube, and when I puncture them with a long flat blade screwdriver, I almost can not get the screwdriver back out. The white I ordered has worked fine in both tubes I ordered.

Works as intended, just installed last night December 31, 2024 and every adhered great. Only negative is that if you have a battery powered caulk gun to set speed at low to medium. I made the mistake of setting it to the highest setting and the front end busted open due to how thick this sealant is. Otherwise great product and highly recommended.

Roofer recommended this product couple years ago to extend lifetime of our two flat rubber-covered roofs. Unable to find THIS product two years ago in local brick & mortar stores & used different "inferior" product. Happy to find this item on-line at fair price with fast delivery. Roofs should be good for another couple years!!

Not runny, but tacky and doesn't ooze out all over the place like other sealants. It cures to hard rubber. Buying more for the roof job. Keeps shingles down and water OUT!

Easy to use. So far holding up just fine after numerous " atmospheric rivers".

I had some asphalt roof shingles blow off during a very heavy winter wind storm. I ordered the Geocel 4500 Roof Sealant to secure the lower edge of the shingles to the existing roofing. I used regular roofing nails in the nailing strip of the shingles to hold them in place. However, because of the cold weather, the replacement shingles were not able to "bond" to the other shingle because there was not enough heat from the sun to melt the asphalt strip on the bottom of the shingle. The Geocel 4500 went on smoothly using a caulk gun. Most notably, the Geocel 4500 did not require any special cleaning of the existing shingles in order to get a good bond. I simply applied the sealant between the two shingles and then pressed the shingles into place. I checked on the replacement shingles the next day and found them to be firmly fixed to the existing shingles. I have already purchased an additional order of the Geocel 4500 because I am so pleased with how easily it went on and how firmly it holds the shingles in place.

I had been recommended to use tar calking in a tube and did for a number of years and it failed every time. I did not know if I just missed some areas or the tar failed. This product stopped the leaks on my flat torch down shop roof. I am so happy. I applied it wider than the tar to make sure it would hold. Lasts way longer than the tar also.

This product was recommended to me by roofing pros, and it does seem to be holding up well. We had roof vents that weren't quite installed properly, and there was some leaking around the edges when the rain was fierce. This stuff stopped it completely, and after three months continues to look and work fine. But, as is often the case, this stuff is the devil, sticking to everything you aren't trying to apply it to and not immediately sticking to the target. It's not easy to remove from, say, your clothing. It's easy to fill a gap with it, if the surfaces are clean, but covering up a crack will make you want a putty knife or small brush or similar and some xylene, or at least a sacrificial little paintbrush. This stuff doesn't have a terrible odor, like some. It can be hard to force out of a thin nozzle. Same company makes another sealant (2300, I think) that flows easier. They also have a white version. This stuff tends to dry out after the tube's open, no matter how you cap it, which is worth knowing. But it seems to be much better than cheap wet patch caulk off the shelf.
