This item shipped and arrived fast. This 25 pack kit of open caulking tube savers and made from what feels like a heavy pliable rubber. The covers have a tight fit but they do hold on and create and airless seal to save your open caulking tubes. I am using 8 of them at the moment and not one of them has failed. I have taken them off and put back on numerous times and they are still holding up strong. I get much more longevity out of these compared to the thin rubber / condom type I was using and throwing away due to holes or build up that could not be cleaned out without destroying them. Every time I come back to use the caulking it is ready to go with no set up parts. The cost is very fair for a 25 piece kit, they work and are reusable. I rated these 5 stars.

These are so convenient. I use them all the time, and keep at least a few in my boxes or car to make sure I have them when I need them. Easier to use than tape, and preserves the caulking better too. I'm so glad I bought them.

Used on time and seems to work as good as anything I have tried. Jury still out.

I was skeptical this product would actually work. I’ve used them for many months now. They work great.

Was hoping these would work better than they do, but I have to say I'm not that impressed. I found that they really didn't extend the "life" of a tube for more than a couple days.

Much better than similar 'condom' products. It's a little hard taking them off again (think Chinese finger puzzle), but they do the trick.

I got tired of wrapping electrical tape around the tips of my caulk tubes in between jobs and tried these instead. They work perfectly and are very snug. They easily go on and come off with zero leak or air penetration. My caulk is always wet and fresh from job to job. I’m not being vulgar when I say they are best described as a condom for your caulk. Great ROI.

Over priced caulk savers

I adore these caps. I have tried many different ways to prevent caulk from drying out - inserting a large nail, duct tape, and a $15 cap with insert. The only one that worked was the $15 one, but the cost was prohibitive if, like me, you have about a dozen different caulks you are trying to keep on life support. These little orange caps work perfectly; my very pricey, custom-color caulks are still viable a year later. And they are inexpensive, easy to find (orange), and don't leave a smear of wet caulk when removed like the insertion ones. Even better, they have many uses around my house, art studio and wood shop. They are perfect for protecting the points of small tools so they can be safely tossed into drawers, bins or bags. Think scissors, screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers, even knitting needles. The silicone slides on easily, grips well, and are equally easy to remove. They come in a generous package, so feel free to use with impunity.

Just got them and trying them out for first time. I still have some'Tool Time' caps that have worn well but I needed more caps and thought I would give these a try.You can tell from their images that they are long. I tried slipping one down to the end on a sealant tube tip and it leaves way too much trapped air.I think they expect you to snip them shorter with a pair of scissors or razor blade to the length you prefer. That's what I've done with a few to allow them to push all the way down to tip to evacuate air. We'll see over time if they're meant to stretch out after a while and not require shortening. They are a brighter orange than their photos depict, almost neon.Tip - adding a few drops of water inside the cap before replacing cap on water based caulks/sealants dramatically helps stop premature drying of caulk inside the cut tip. After weeks or even months the water based caulk/sealant will flow right out like new (maybe a little diluted for the first inch).*Edit:I've added another star after using them a while. You can see in photos how they store snug inside hollowed handle of one of the most popular caulking guns so you don't go looking for tip (I really like this). I do cut them to size. They seal very well. Just know that some sealants like polys are moisture cure and almost nothing you do to seal will keep them from curing inside tube over time, but for both frequent & infrequent use these and my new favorites.
