I love that you get not just one, but three of the carbon monoxide detectors. These operate on 3 AAA batteries. So far so good with the battery life on these. The large display is very nice as well. Very affordable price for piece of mind.

Put them up easily and hopefully they monitor the matbon monoxide levels once you stick them up with the provided tape they stay.

I just installed a new gas heater and want to make sure that I get the small house completely protected and so ordered this two pack. I will say that there are plenty of reviews that already mention the basics, but I want to add that there is a clarification needed for dummies like myself in the instruction manual. It is possibly a mangled translation incident or possibly the instructions were referencing a different model, but in the manual where they are covering Mounting Instructions, in two places they say to "twist" the alarm onto the bracket. Sorry, but there is no twisting of this model. Plus the battery cover is rather difficult to take off and I almost got the toolbox out , but finally managed to SLIDE the battery cover off. It may be a small thing, but gee, I sure hope nobody is out there trying to "twist" the battery cover off. Also, clearly the battery cover is also the mounting bracket which is not made clear at all in the instruction manual. Again, maybe a minor point, but I did look in the box just to make sure I hadn't missed any "mounting bracket" - again, maybe a reference to a different model. The last items added to my knocking off a star beginning with the fact these came with no batteries. It would have been nice if they had included batteries. I guess I was expecting like another reviewer to be able to check the reading at any time without setting off the alarm. Finally, the alarm itself is not really all that loud and again in the manual they caution you to stay an arm's length away to avoid damage to your hearing. Not that loud. If anything, I wish they were louder. I do appreciate all the instructions on where to place the alarms. That is possibly the most important part of getting an accurate reading of the CO ppm and they go into pretty good detail of what to avoid and how many inches this way and that, and I really appreciate that detail.
