Great product! Set it up and forgot I had it. Was working on an atv in my garage and didn’t realize I had it running with garage closed….the detector went off and I heard the loud siren over the motor and instantly realize it was going off and took note of the number 98. It could have ended bad but thanks to this….im still here.

Just got these in the mail today and decided to conduct “science”. I popped some batteries in these, turned on the car (in the driveway) and stood behind the exhaust pipe with both monitors about chest high. Both testers immediately sounded a displayed around 400-600 ppm (I would assume this variation was due to being outside with wind). Seems to work to me.As far as looks go, they’re small, but they are thickies. They come with drywall anchors and screws as well as double sided tape. They weight maybe half a pound each so I just started off with the tape and will switch to the anchors if it falls off.As far as the alarm sound goes, they’re not terribly loud. The pamphlet claims 85 db, which they might be, but that seems awfully quiet for an alarm considering a fire alarm is typically over 100 ear shattering db. I could even see the argument that a CO detector should be louder than a smoke detector considering CO can’t be seen or really smelled…For the price and assumed accuracy, I’m satisfied and would consider buying more if I needed more. Based on the volume of the alarm, I might go ahead and purchase another pack and put one in front of our master bedroom and just find another place for the second.

It is small and impressive. I think would get a new one before we turn on our ventless fireplace and a week of having it something failed in the fireplace and was omitting carbon dioxide in the air. We shut it off turned the gas off at the tank and called our gas company and they sent someone out to fix the issue! Very happy we got it and it let us know!

I'm very surprised I use this in my motorhome to sense carbon monoxide. This will not alarm on leaking propane but almost all of them don't unless otherwise specified. I left my door open on my class C just to start up and pull it on top of the blocks and it instantly goes off. In that case works excellent.I gave the second one to my buddy and he uses a buddy heater in his RV, the buddy here has a low oxygen shut down but this will alarm right away.Is the Mount and very satisfied.

What I like about this is the size-it doesn't look like a piece of artwork on the wall! The item is lightweight and sealed pretty well. What I don't like is that the instructions are a bit confusing, maybe because the product is made in China and the written language is different. Anyway, it reads to "twist the alarm" to remove the mounting bracket. As you can see from the pictures there is no way to twist anything! I looked at the item and determined that right away. In order to remove the back...which SLIDES you have to either slide it with your fingers or use a flat object (I used my staple remover) to catch onto the edge to start sliding it. Once the backing was removed I added batteries. The screen will turn on during battery installation, and you have to test it to 000, then the green flashing light will operate about every 30 seconds to let you know it's working. The sound of the test alarm was not as loud as I thought it would be but should be able to be heard if it does activate, depending on where you install it. The instructions read to "locate an alarm in every room where someone sleeps with the door closed. The closed door may prevent the alarm from waking the sleeper." HUH? So, why would I do that then? 🤔 I mounted mine on the wall outside a bedroom and, I hope I never hear it other than to test it!

The carbon monoxide device is a perfect size to have when traveling or if you're, in a vehicle like a car, RV, or boat. I currently have mine inside of my SUV. To preface this review, CO (carbon monoxide) has no smell/scent to it and CO2 (carbon dioxide) is what a car emits if a functional catalytic converter is working. During one instance, I clearly could smell the car's emissions clearly while in the car, and the detector didn't alarm. I pressed the button to test the battery and it was functional in that sense (again, could be my cat was doing its job and converting the CO to CO2). Additionally, I read that it could take a much more significant amounts of CO to set off an alarm and/or more time (up-to 30 minutes). With all that being said, unless I purchase a CO detector tester (which is a canister of CO), there is no way to really test this device. Not really a good method, but I hope to never hear this device go off, but at the same time, hope it does go off if there is CO in the area.
