This bowl is not five quarts. It's closer to 3 1/2 quarts. Useless for my needs. It's medium weight - not as heavy as I expected but not the thinnest metal either. Might be ok for some uses, but does not work for me. Product description should be updated with the actual size.

Winco 5 Quart Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl, Deep: I needed an intermediate size mixing bowl. This is roughly 10.25" wide and 4.5" deep ie, "deeper" vs "wider". Since deeper is what I wanted, this fits exactly. I consider it heavy duty, it certainly is sturdier than my other stainless mixing bowls which I got so long ago, I forget where. But this is a solid bowl, no dents.

I've been using a very heavy glass bowl for mixing cakes and cookies, salads, etc. for years but by the time Igot the ingredients in it was really heavy and I had a hard time holding it while I emptied the contents into wherever it was going. Finally decided to give it a try. Should have done it years ago. I love this bowl .

I have another 5 qt mixer bowl and this one was noticeably smaller. It is also very thin and light not heavy duty as advertised. Finally though the company says products made in usa, there was a made in india sticker on it.

I got the 5 quart bowl. It's a stainless steel bowl. Not much to say really is there? Really nice light weight to it while still being very sturdy. I got this to use as a mixing bowl for cooking, making meatloaf and pies and such. $9.03 is a great price and it's the exact size I wanted. 5 stars for sure.
