I was installing a few window air conditioners and needed some foam to put in between the windows. This foam is the perfect soft/hard balanced and is easy to work with.

Our house has custom measurement windows so the window AC unit needed extra space filled and these were perfect. The 2”x1” thickness fit snugly in the gap between the raised windows and I was able to trim and wedge additional pieces around the unit to fill even the tinniest cracks, keep that cool air in and heat and bugs out. Our windows are white so the light grey color of the foam just looks like a shadow at a glance and keeps everything looking more intentional and professional. It was easy to cut with average scissors and squishes well. I ended up using one roll per window unit.

5 star - general operation, User Interface, cooling efficiency, operating cost. Love the slow (quiet) start and slow shut down. This removed many of the jarring noises that most ACs make on start / stop. Was a bit worried about install.4 Stars - While install had more steps than other systems, it was easy to do. Make sure you buy extra foam strips, you will need them to properly seal the unit. Lots of gaps between the bottom of the unit and the window sill at my home. Make sure you watch the install videos. They have a lot of tips not in the instructions.0 Stars - Noise from the plastic assemblies. The plastic guys messed up BADLY. As the inverter ramps up/down it hits harmonic frequencies (multiple) that make various parts of the plastic assembly rattle LOUDLY. Those vibrations also rattled pictures on the wall AND the bed. Had to add foam backing to the pictures and nick-knacks on the bed and got used to the bed vibrating. You could hear (and feel) the AC starting and stopping from two rooms away. Five shims and a bit of glue got the plastic rattles to stop, but now the swing and louver functionality is disabled. This is a serious issue and caused many sleepless nights as I worked through the rattles. After the hacks, I would rate this as the quietest AC I have ever owned.
