The product is not safe when assembled. Not because of design, but hardware is cheap and flimsy. Tubes designed for carriage bolts, shilled with hex bolts that are too short. Small wheels get caught on shingles and screws were too long to allow caster to work. We assembled, tried to use, but decided afte one bolt came loose that they are just not safe to use. Returned.

These really work well. They quickly and easily attach to my extension ladders. They definitely stabilize the ladder. They also prevent me from leaning on my gutters and scratching or denting them. The only issue I have is with some of the assembly hardware. The bolts for the casters are too long and interfere with the wheels ability to swivel. You could reverse the assembly but then they are sticking towards a ladder rung and interfering with the rung or snagging yourself. I plan on reassembling them with loctite then cutting the extra threads off to prevent this issue. The screws for the wing nuts that are used to adjust the brackets is too short. The top bracket I feel should not have a wing nut but a regular lock nut. A few cents in better hardware would be an improvement. I will make a few of these improvements on my own. Either way I’m happy with how these work and would recommend them.

The SLIIMU roof ladder hooks are heavy duty and assembly was easy. I am ready to test it out on my roof.My kit was a mix and match of an orange and red parts. Since it is just looks and will not change how the tool will work with the ladder, I can overlook that issue.My picture also shows a rust blemish on one of the rails which is painted over. I am not sure if it will expand and grow when exposed to humidity. I will look into exchanging the kit if I learn that it will become worse.

Excellent pair of tube steel roof hooks for extension ladders. Perfect for attaching over the roof peak or for stabilizing the ladder for accessing the rooftop. Very easy to assemble and to install with all hardware included.

These are sturdy and stable ladder hooks. Amazing quality. I feel very safe using them and would highly recommend them. I did have to assemble them, but the assembly wasn't too difficult.

These hooks add a good amount of safety to extension ladders and help prevent damage to siding, gutters, or metal roof panels. I thought I wouldn't use them often but they've stayed on my 24' fiberglass ladder since they were installed.
