The Rolled Hem Foot, sometimes also known as the narrow hem foot, is used to sew a very narrow 1/8" hem and is well suited for light to medium weight fabrics.. The foot folds the raw edge of your fabric under just before it passes under the needle. For garment, home decor or any type of sewing, the rolled hem foot provides a professional looking finish.

Quedé muy satisfecha con la compra de este prátelas.Tengo una máquina Singer que compré hace 40 años y funciona perfecto, pero nunca había podido hacer un dobladillo enrollado con prensa telas genéricos que compré en aquella ocasión. Once you get the hang of it this makes really tight smooth rolled edges so much easier than trying to do it free-hand. There is a definite learning curve to using this foot. I have tried several times but still cannot manage to get the first couple of inches to feed through and roll over cleanly then as I sew, it is hard to keep the fabric lined up just right so it stays right on the edge but with some practice it gets a little easier. If there is a 1/4" rolled edge hem, I think that might be a little easier to manage but I haven't found that foot yet. I am knocking off one star just because it is not as easy to use as I would hope which results in lower accuracy end-to-end but it's still a good value if you have enough edging to do to need one.

Singer always makes good products. The foot takes a lot of practice to use but once you have it down it's an amazing foot to have. I definitely suggest this for all seamstresses and tailors.

This sewing foot fit my Kenmore without a problem. Be sure to watch the video that is suggested on the packaging as it's tricky at the start when feeding the fabric in the scroll. You may have to change to a zig zag stitch from a straight stitch. At least that did the trick for me. Practice on some scrap fabric and you're good to go! This special foot has made hemming 15 prom dresses from satin to chenille a breeze
