Love these pens. Writes smooth, doesn’t snag the paper. Only downside is having to buy a specific brand of refill cartridges, but it’s not annoying enough to knock off a star.

The blue pen seems to have either a slightly wider nib or watery ink. The line isn't as crisp as what the black one produces. I need to try the blue on more papers to make sure that ink doesn't bleed, but so far, so good. It's just not good for writing in a small font size.

Best pens in the game, they last a long time and have the perfect size tip

You get what you pay for. Writing is inconsistent.

I've bought this pen in stores before so I know how to insert the cartridge and how its supposed to write. This pen did not dispense a single drop of ink. I have to assume the ink is ancient and all dried up. Super disappointed especially cuz I bought two in good faith. I've tried warming it up, shaking it etc but it does not write. Hoping I can return them, we'll see.

I have other fountain pens of varying quality and prices and unfortunately these were very disappointing. I followed instructions to insert the cartridges but I can not get the ink to reliably write. Unfortunately these are worst fountain pens I’ve bought so far. Which is a shame because they are cute and have interesting colors.

I really like the smoothness of the nibs. For the price they are very nice pens and love the colors!

I am really liking these pens. They write smooth and do not leak.

My first foutain pen is the Zebra V-301. I still have it but the cap does not snap any more to the tail of the pen. This makes if unconfortable to use at times, remember the cap on the tail is to help with the writing experience, even for these cheap ones. So, what I like about these fountain pens is that the cap still snaps to the front end, but is a compresion fit to the tail end of the pen. I don't see it failing like my Zebra fountain pen. What I also like is the fine nib, I am a lefty writter so, the fine nib is a super plus, a necessity for me. Being a lefty with fountain pens you have to learn to be graceful when writting, and these are some smooth writting fountain pens for the price. These pens write just as nice as my MONTEVERDE fountain pen.I love them as they are, but I still like to suggest some medium nib choices too. Thanks Ooly!! :-)

I purchased this pen because I had tried other Ooly pens and found them fantastic, but they didn't have rubber grips. Right away the pen didn't write smoothly, and so it got left for a little while. When I tried to use it again, it had clogged up and leaked. I had to soak the nib to clean it up, and then started using it again. It was writing great for a while, but now it's starting to leak again. I don't know if maybe I got a dud, since most of the reviews seem really great, but I think I might stick to my other Ooly pens for now.

For the price, you can't go wrong. The fountain pen works well, and the cartridges are cheap enough. The ink quality/density is OK, but there's a little more resistance when writing. This is good for people who like fountain pens, since there's more control to the handwriting stroke.I left this pen for a month, capped, and when I returned to it, all I had to do was rinse the nib in running water (under the tap) and I was good to go. The ink did not harden in the nib, which can happen with many cheap fountain pens that don't cap tightly enough.I bought spare ink cartridges as this one only ships with two. I believe that standard cartridges will fit this pen, so no need to go out of your way to buy these if you need better ink. I've tried them with my Cross fountain pen cartridges and a cheap Parker pen that I have and they fit.4-stars overall. But that's only because it does feel a bit cheap.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm picky about my fountain pens. The nib has to be right, the feel has to be right in the hand.I didn't expect much (see my review of the Zebra V-301).I was very pleasantly surprised to get a good flow of ink, a good feel in the hand and two refill cartridges. For what really could be classed as a "disposable" fountain pen, this is the best one at its price point that I have encountered.
