About this item

  • GET THE RIGHT PART -- Before purchasing, please check the “Amazon Confirmed Fit” bar to ensure this part will fit your vehicle; enter all vehicle information (year, make, model, engine and trim) for compatibility and check qualifier notes. If the “Amazon Confirmed Fit” bar has an “i” in a blue circle, this product has additional notes. Please hover over the “i” on the bar to see notes before making your purchase
  • REDUCES SAG UNDER LOAD -- Ideal for occasionally hauling or towing varying loads; heavy gauge, calibrated coil spring reduces sag when loaded up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity limited by suspension, tires and transmission; see owner's manual)
  • EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Tuned specifically for each application, full-displaced valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide ride consistency
  • CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and PTFE-banded piston helps reduce friction between the piston and pressure tube to enhance responsiveness to changing road surfaces
  • LONGER SERVICE LIFE -- Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear while heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod delivers long life
  • IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade

Ideal for light trucks that that tow or carry varying loads, Monroe load adjusting shocks include a heavy gauge calibrated spring that adjusts to road and weight conditions to provide extra control when operating conditions get more demanding.

I don't know what other reviewers are talking about with the nose. I installed these and the truck has been riding better than it ever did. I'm sure the rear end is a little stiffer when empty but 1 it's a truck and 2 why would you get load adjusting shocks and not carry or tow a load? Make sure to take the springs off and deeper the shock a few times. Easy install raised truck by frame until tires were off the ground. Removed old shocks. Put bottom bolt in and then printed a little with a 7 level (big) flat tip to pop top in. Raised rear end a little. 2014 f150 3.5 Ecoboost 4x4 King ranch.

They do springy things and have honestly stiffened up my rear end quite well.

The only thing missing was the factory box. This was my first order on used like new and I couldn't be more happy. I have new loaded shocks at a discounted price. I'm very happy with the purchase . It restored the factory height increased the stability and can't beat the value

My ford Platnum was a bit soggy especially when towing- now the ride is very good and it didn’t upset the truck empty bed no towing ride.i was worried that the ride quality would suffer but not bad It did lift the truck about an inch or so but looks and rides great. Very easy to install but they are a bit longer than stock so a little persuasion with a long handle screwdriver or flat bar to pry upwards so the bolt can pass thru the bottom hole makes it go right together. Overall very pleased

I had a set of these on my 05 f150 and loved them and wanted to get some for my f250 2009 and no one had or made them for a f250. So to be clear these are not made for a f250 but they do fit after u take the metal ring out of the inter rubber of the top mounting hole. And to do that I took a drill bit about the same size and got it warm by holding it at an angle and holding it with a pare of pliers. Do that to both sides. Of the ring and then it will start to turn and then u can take the pliers and pull out the inter ring and the shock gos right on. With no problems. AND LIKE I SAID NOT MADE FOR F250 BUT IT DOSE FIT AND WORKS GOOD LOVE THEMPic about is the ring u have to take out of the top of each shock it only took me 2 mins to do each oneThe two rings I took out and other pic is old shocks and to show that the top hole never had them from the factoryAnd last one is them one the truck

I used a ratchet strap to compress them a couple of times to mix the gas - doing it by the book n all that. The way I did this was:1. Leave the wheels on the truck.2. Jack the truck up using the frame as high as humanly possibly.3. Measure the EXACT distance between the top and bottom bolt holes.4. Use a ratchet strap to compress the shocks to that exact distance.5. Insert shock into place with the ratchet strap still on it.6. Use a pry bar to line up the bottom hole and slip the bolt in, then do the top.7. Cut off the ratchet strap. These are pretty awesome so far. Levelled my truck and I have almost no sag when carrying larger loads. I'll update if they start squeaking like some people say they do.2yr EDIT: they did start squeaking after three or four weeks but then the squeaking went away and stayed away after about three weeks. No longer have the truck but don’t regret this purchase.

These seem really good so far, installed them on a 2011 F150 XTR 4x4 with 2" blocks. The install only took about 15 minutes. I read a lot of reviews saying the install was difficult, so I included a picture of how you can use a 1" ratchet strap to really speed up the process. By using a strap like this, you don't even have to jack the truck up if you don't want to.
