Cap actually has the spring mechanism to rotate when we pull the string, rotating the plastic wheel inside which rotates the blades. This is so weak that the top portion of the cap broke easily which disturbed the rotating plastic wheel inside it and its had to fix it.First three times it worked well with chopping.

I purchased this little manual chopper to chop fresh cranberries for a Thanksgiving recipe. A food processor would've been the better choice but I don't have one nor do I have the space to store a new one. This chopper worked perfectly for my cranberries. I had to do them in batches, since the cup is pretty small, but it still worked well. Since then, I've tried to chop bell peppers for a salad in the chopper and it wasn't ideal. It doesn't chop consistently so I ended up with pureed pieces along side big chunks that needed to but cut up. I've also used this chopper for fresh salsa and it worked great! I love the manual process of pulling the handle/cord and it takes very minimal effort. If you're a salsa lover and love to make your own, this is a worth while investment!

This small blade processor works by pulling a string. It is great for onions and would probably do just as well with peppers. I really like it. I hate chopping garlic, and that is next. My sister recommended this to me, and I highly recommend it to others. The price is right, the blades are sharp and it is easy to clean and store.

This is a great little chopper, very easy to use and clean. Perfect for making a quick salsa or egg salad, chicken salad etc. I love mine few little pulls and it’s quickly chopped. Easy to pull doesn’t take much effort, very smooth operation. Had for only a few months, so can not speak to how long it will last. But most important part is the string and looks to be quality material and reasonable price. It would be great for use in a camper or where have a food processor is not ideal.

I found pickles without artificial dyes, but couldn’t find pickle relish without dyes. Now I just make my own with this handy chopper. Cut a some pickles into chunks, a few pulls, and you have relish. Also works great for turning leftover chicken into chicken salad. I love it!!

Needed something easy and convenient and wanted something I could whip out quickly rinse and put away and this is perfect! I love that there's no power needed, just put in whatever you want to chop, pull the string and it's done. It's not large so you may have to dice an onion 1/2 at a time, but on the flip side it will dice garlic cloves pretty easily. It's simple to rinse and put away. I use this frequently.

This is my second model of this design... the rip-cord design allows you to really chop with power and speed! It does a perfect job on almost anything, from simple chopping to garlic (my main use). Also great for chopping dried spices! I use it like I'm trying to start a mower... one hand on the chopper, and one hand on the pull mechanism. I rip on it like I'm trying to start a stubborn mower or something... BUT with a limited stroke so I don't reach the end of the cord length!I mentioned this is my second model of this design... I got a bit too energetic with my last one, hit the end of the cord length, and broke the cord. So be careful not to be as careless as I was!But it was good in the end... for ten bucks I bought this model (1 cup) and it's a bit larger than my old one PLUS it has a nice rubber ring on the base, which really helps! When I broke my old one, I looked at other models, but I REALLY like the simplicity and small size of this design, so I went with it again. SUPER easy to clean – just fill with water and rip on it a half dozen stroke and you're done. Every so often I put it through the dishwasher (top rack) to clean it thoroughly... you can just leave the blade in place – the magnet will hold the blade just fine. But when you dry it, turn the handle 90º to let the inside mechanism dry fully. All in all, a must-have item! Great, simple design, and so affordable!
