It was working well for a month and all of a sudden , the inside top lid came off and now it is not usable at all. So disappointed after spending over $20 bucks! I wish I could get a refund !

I've had this for nine years , used all the time. works like a charm and still looks like new.No stains. Much safer than mandoline slicer. Makes veggies easy to chew. Fine or coarse chop. Love this.

I bought this after watching someone on YouTube use it to make salsa. It looked so easy. I have used it mostly to chop onions, potatoes, carrots, garlic, to add to recipes when its not necessary to haul out my big food processor. What I really like is it is quiet so I can use it early in the morning and not disturb anyone. You pull the cord like a salad spinner. The more you pull the finer the chop. I find knife chopping very tedious and time consuming. This item makes the job easier and faster. It honestly works better than I thought it would.

Fungerar mindre än ettt år sedan är den trasig. Går sönder inuti mekanismen. 3 st har jag köpt nu. Sista höll ca 2 veckor innan den började att krångla. Mekanismen är för klen och bandet går i sönder efter ett tag. Aldrig ens diskad i maskin. Superbra maskin så länge den fungerar.

I use this to dice onions and peppers primarily. It does not work for denser vegetables like potatoes. It works easily, and while you do have to pull the ring, it takes minimal effort. I find this so much simplier to use for simple dicing then a food processor or other machine, because its quick to use and simple to clean. I bought this product in 2014 and it lasted until this year, when I dropped it on the floor and it broke. I immediately bought another one because I use it all the time.

This thing works great - chops nuts, shreds carrots, apples, onion, no problem. A couple pulls gives you big pieces, 6-8 pulls (or more) and you have finely chopped whatever. Quality seems pretty good, though I'm worried that the blades have small nicks in the edges after about a dozen uses. Might be able to resharpen with a small file. The only thing I hate - well, dislike - is how carefully you need to clean this gizmo. The blades lift out and can be put in soapy water, but you need to VERY CAREFULLY wipe them with a rag to get them clean. A dishwasher would handle this, but we don't have one. And then there's the lid with the pull mechanism. Cannot be put in water, and "wipe with a damp rag" isn't as easy as the instructions make it sound when the thing is covered with shredded veggies. So clean-up is kind of a chore, though realistically still only a couple of minutes. All in all, it's a very workable substitute for a food processor when it comes to chopping & shredding, and much quicker and easier than a traditional grater. Sure wish you could wash the lid/pull mechanism, though.

This is a great tool for the kitchen and for outdoors (i.e. camping). It works as well as my Mini Cuisinart processor. Electric powered food processors will be quicker and tend to create more "uniform" chops but this little Chef'n VeggiChop is no joke either. I use it on regular basis to mince or chop onions, garlic and various peppers. The first 3-6 pulls on the cord will give you rough irregular sized chops. The more you pull on the cord, more uniform the chops will get. I find that after 12 or so quick pulls, your chopped veggies will look more uniform. If you want to mince the veggies, go for 25-30 quick pulls. The clean up is a breeze. Run the cap, blade and the container under faucet and they are ready for next use. This is the case with my Mini Cuisinart as well. So then why do I find myself using this tool more than the electric powered food processor?1. It has a smaller footprint on the kitchen counter.2. There is no set up time. You just drop the veggies and pull the cord (dice veggies to appropriate size first! same goes with electric)3. You can take this outdoors or even for travel if needed. It's lighter and definitely less bulky than its electric counter part. The built quality seems good thus far. I pull on the cord pretty hard (in my experience this makes for better chopping and mincing) and at times yank it to the limit of the cords length and I can tell the unit is made to withstand such abuse.I would give it 5 stars but this is my first manual food processor and have no other units or experiences to compare it to, Maybe there is something better out there? For now, this serves my purpose and does it well!UPDATE: Upgrading from 4 stars to 5 stars. I used this processor for well over a year and still performing strong. My go to kitchen gadget for processing garlic, pepper, etc,. so easy to use!

WOW! Whomever invented this should be proud of themselves. I wish it had been me. :) This is a GREAT little gadget!1. The sweeper arm on the bottom prevents chunks of food from getting stuck under the chopping blades. No more fishing out and re-chopping! Food items are evenly chopped. I'm totally chuffed over that bottom sweeper feature.2. No electricity needed! It's small enough to be easily stored.3. The pull action is so smooth and easy that my bum shoulder doesn't have any problems with it.4. I have tiny hands, but even my hubby's big hands easily fit into the big pull ring. A young child, with supervision, would find it easy to help in the kitchen.5. I can't believe how easy this is to use, and how evenly it chops various items. It's easy to clean, too: water and a tiny bit of dish soap; with a few pulls, it's clean. My stupidly expensive Cuisinart food processor is such a piece of crap (so poorly designed) that it's going right to the thrift store -- this week. I'm sticking with my Chef'n from now on.It'd be great to have a taller version with maybe 3 or 4 sets of blades, or a larger diameter one with longer blades, but I'm thrilled with this one. If a bigger one comes out...I'm buying it immediately! In fact, I'm buying two of them, or more. I got 2 of these, but am going to order 2 more for Christmas gifts. No, I wasn't paid to write this review, I wasn't asked to do so, and haven't a clue who benefits from it. I just know a good product when I meet one, as do most of us. I can't say enough about this little gem -- I hope it's sturdy enough to hang together well for a good while. It's a GREAT little product.UPDATE: 1/11/2016I can't believe this much time has passed since my review in 2014, but this little food chopper is just as sharp as it was the day we opened it. I know I said that I hoped it would hang together for a good while: looks like it's doing just that. :D We still use it a LOT, fling it in the dishwasher, and it's ready to go. I love how it's compact enough I can store it in one of my bottom kitchen drawers and leave plenty of room above it.UPDATE: 12/12/2016Nearly a year after my last update - and it's STILL super-sharp, tough as can be. It's beautifully made - I love it.UPDATE: 01/06/2018Wow. It's STILL super-sharp, going into the 4th year of heavy home use (purchased 26th Nov., 2014). I'm seeing a lot of "wanna-be" copies of this pull chopper, but none seem to have the generously sized blades as this little work horse from Chef'n. Once again - kudos to the manufacturer! Ya done good. :)
