I was so skeptical of this product, but pleasantly surprised at it's performance. This product works very well and chops into small pieces. I'm impressed and I love it. The first few string pulls were rough, but smoothed out and works nice.

I got this to get giner and garlic rough chopped for the food I prepare. I prefer to use them fresh and I do not need more then 2 to 3 teaspoons and this product gets the job done so well.

The chopper was really cheap and still functions so I am keeping it. Compared to the one my daughter has the quality is not as good. It does not have a gripper on the bottom to help it not slide on the counter and the lid does not lock as designed. The channels on the lid are too tight for the protruding pieces on the bowl. The lid only turns about halfway to the locking position.

I was pleasantly surprised with how well this little thing actually worked. It's not the best chopper in the world, but for the price it can't be beat! It does feel a little flimsy, but it's held up pretty well the few times I've used it so far for chopping cheese and onions. Just make sure you've got a firm grip on it, and that the lid is on all the way. The handle can be a bit tough to pull, and the first time I used it, I actually ended up pulling it clear off the counter and dumped everything off the floor! It comes entirely apart for easy cleaning, even the blade it removable! It's probably not big enough for a large family, but if you're a household of only 1-3, it should get you where you need to go. Although I'm not sure how well it would hold up, if you used it every day consistently. I'm a fairly weak women, but I still found it easy enough to use (maybe even TOO easy the first time I did it!) it's also cute, with a minimal but functional design that allows you to see the progress of the food as you're going. Overall, considering the price, I'd say go for it, if you're just looking for something to use occasionally in a smaller household.

I ordered this to help with garden fresh vegetables and in the making of salsa and cowboy candy, etc. It works wonderfully and as it should. I could easily fit 2 halved jalapenos (4 pieces) and work with it. However, when our teenage son decided to help me, somehow, he almost liquified the peppers, lol. Even though it is manual and a pull string, make sure to keep an eye on it because if you're not paying attention, you can very easily chop the pieces to small (or almost liquify them). For cleanup, as soon as I am done using this manual food chopper, I rinse it out with clean water (a prewash) especially the blade part. This little manual food chopper has been a wonderful addition to our kitchen.
