This is a good quality instrument at a very reasonable price. It has an adjustable bridge and truss rod, which is important fro achieve a proper set up. The tuners are made of metal (not the usual cheap plastic). I would have liked a simple zippered gig bag and a couple of picks to be included in the box (from the manufacturer). The finish on this mandolin is a bit darker than I expected. It is a very dark brown and appears almost black in some places. I expected a richer, warmer brown tone—more like a violin.
