I pulled it out and immediately tested against my squares. I terestingly, I found I could see a gap between this and my smaller machinist squares. I couldn't figure out what was going on, then I saw one bur on each old square. Removed them and no gap. Then I put it against my 123 blocks. Gap again.Using the digital angle finder and this tool showed 90 while my 123 was 89.9. so I think it's probably square enough for woodworking, which is what it's supposed to do.I love how big this is, it will really help with ensuring my measurement tools are accurate. I highly recommend.

I got this square to fill in a set I had. My older Groz squares have the symbol and specs printed on blade.

This is a great size for setting up many types of wood shop machines. As a general purpose square it is excellent value. I haven't checked it for ultimate machine shop accuracy, but is more than accurate enough for the uses I put it too.

Bought 2 of the little buggers (2" x 2-13/16") for my shop aprons (one for wood and one for welding/metal fab). Both squares arrived nicked along the inside edge of the blades, enough to cause a few thousandths-inch of daylight when I nest either square inside the other. I MIGHT be able to place the squares under magnification and remove the nicks with a fine water stone, but 1) I shouldn't have to, and 2) not sure if I should even attempt it.Even with the nicks, the little 2" buggers are EXCELLENT for quick checks of woodworking, welding, assembly, etc, but I wouldn't even attempt to certify them for a toolroom.4-star product because of the nicks, otherwise 5 stars.
