Very heavy duty, not flimsy in any way. Markings easy to read and honestly heavy duty so it shouldLat a very long time.

Can cut your hands if you don’t wear gloves or break the edges with some 300 grit or super fine file. Other than that, great square, sturdy, comes with preset table on it. Wish it came in metric as well, for Europe. Excellent overall product. Will last a while if not trampled on

I like the square for a bunch of reasons: stainless steel, clear markings, good weight. However, the tool came with a paper label. That's hardly unusual, but removing it was painful. Despite the fact that the square was also sealed in a plastic sleeve (the label could have been applied to the sleeve), I had to carefully peel it off. Not an easy task; the label de-laminated and shredded. I finally used Goo Gone, after testing to see that it wouldn't remove the painted markings. It took 15-20 minutes. Not a big deal, but it did suck the joy out of a new "toy".

There’s a reason the walls in your house aren’t square or plumb: It’s because framers these days have to use garbage products like this that claim to be square but are actually ridiculously out of square. I’ve tried three of these now and they’re all out of square by 1/16th of an inch per 8 inches when tested against a DIN/00 calibration square. The inexpensive aluminum square purchased from a big box store is more accurate than this product. Also, the packaging on this product is terrible. It’s some adhesive bubble wrap that uses an overly aggressive adhesive to stay together, requiring a silly amount of cutting to even access the product.

It's a nice carpenters' square, but the specifications are not accurate. Thickness is not 1/8 inch (.125), but rather .085. It's not true stainless steel, a small magnet I used to check stuck solidly on the square. My main reason for purchase was the thickness. I wanted one that was as thick or thicker than my old one at .10 inches which fell short. The sticker was on there pretty good, but not that difficult to take off. I got an edge going, pulled slowly (about 5 or 6 minutes) and backed it up with a scraper a little wider than the sticker. Once off, there was residual adhesive that came off easily with a rag dipped in acetone. The edges were sharp as others pointed out, but I used a sharpening stone and wiped the edges which took the sharp burrs off. I will keep it because it was the closest square I could find that matched my old square. The flawed specifications should be accurate though. For that reason I gave the accuracy 2 stars. Best I could tell using other squares I have it was in fact square.

This square surprised me by how accurate it is. It's dead on, now let's get to the reason you're reading this.BTW, I am always skeptical of Amazon reviews because of the people being paid or receiving free stuff for reviews. Definitely be very cynical when reading these. Go and watch YouTube reviews as well. Don't just believe everything you read. With that said, I am not paid, given anything from anyone for this review. I have no relationship with the maker or with Amazon. What I write here are my opinions, I stress the word "opinions", and mine alone. I'm writing exactly how I feel and how my experience has been with the item. Long winded but I'd want someone to be completely transparent with me so I am doing the same.OK, let's debunk this bs about the impossible to remove sticker. Yes it's true the sticker is attached with some futuristic compound that is a pain to deal with. But it's not impossible to remove. You will only need either a power orbital sander or hand sander and some 120 grit sandpaper.Wet the sticker down really really well. If you want you can completely submerge the area with the sticker. I used a rag and spray bottle. Get everything removed that's possible with water. Scrub it hard with the rag. Now you should see the white "middle" of the sticker remaining. Take your sander and get to work. Go over the part with the remaining sticker substance nice and even until it's removed. Don't press down super hard, just maintain even normal strokes. After a little while you'll have a square free of the "impossible to remove" sticker. The sandpaper won't hurt the square if you have the stainless steel model. That's it. No more bad reviews based on people's lack of common sense. You're welcome. Have a great day.

It is a good traditional framing square. Only issue I had with it is that the label is really difficult to remove Took a good half hour of scraping and scrubbing to get it off

This is a good square. The measurements are engraved, not printed, so it will never fade away. The thickness is just right too. You can't beat the stainless steel material either. I've had a lot of squares over the years, and this is the best one yet.As for the decal on it, only a numbskull would have difficulty removing it. Use a heat gun and a razor blade to remove it. Clean up the residue with acetone. I had the decal off and the square clean in about 4 minutes. If you can;t get the decal off properly, then chances are you probably don't need a square for the type of work you are capable of...just saying...

Yes, the sticker is a pain in the butt, yet the sole purpose I got this for is to have a large square angle that I could use. This one fulfils that purpose perfectly. Yes, my nose bleeds when I think how much I paid for it...
