After it was installed it needed to be programed at dealership. This was the a money saver as it would have cost 3 times the amount if the dealership provided the part.

This BCM is a blank one, you need to program it with a VCX Nano Tool ($125) and Tech2Win or GDS software which costs $45 for 1 VIN and you need an internet connection during the programming process. If you buy an used one for $60 you won’t be able to reprogram it since the software is protected most of times, since it has a different VIN stored your PCM and other parts won’t be able to establish a communication with the used BCM.If you go to a dealership to program the new BCM it will cost you around $700 + towing service + $200 you spent on part.So I encourage you to get the stuff I mentioned before and do it yourself or ask a friend.

My 2012 Cadillac CTS needed this body control module to be replaced, when I took out the old one I compared them, this replacement one is identical to the factory one, and it solved my problem.

This ACDelco 22860591 BCM worked perfect for my 2007 Chevrolet Impala. The installation process took less than an hour. Back Story: My Impala sat for about six months without being started or driven. When i went to start it the battery was dead. I put a new one in and after the installation of the new battery my car wouldnt start, and locks, remote, tail lights, trunk release, and headlights would not work. The stealership wanted $650 do diagnose, replace and program the BCM. I bought this installed myself and prayed that the BCM was the issue. After installing the BCM i towed it to the Stealership and they charged me an hour of labor, $85 to program the new BCM. In all, i was in it less than $250 buying the part and installing it myself. Unfortunately, i still had to take the car to have it programmed, but i still saved $400.
