I just installed the new part (after pulling the fuse beforehand) and have tried it 5-6 times whether from the back lift gate or from the knob on the side of the driver's door.......so far it works as described without having to be "programmed" by a dealer. It is sort of a plug and play; will provide more info after it has been used a few weeksUpdate a week later: Product still working well. I sort of hooked it up higher on the frame above where it would normally clamp. Good thing because after a heavy rain, the compartment was full of water., I took a drill bit and made a couple holes in the sheet metal bottom above the muffler to allow the water to drain out when there is additional rain.

Product installed easily and worked perfectly; expect it caused a battery drain issue that completely drained the battery in 24 hours. After replacing the battery and tracing the parasitic loss I was finally able to identify this unit as the culprit. I replaced this unit with a controller from another seller and it has worked fine for several weeks.

This was a great price for a module that defines plug-n-play! My dealer charged $135 to diagnose a bad hydraulic control lifter arm. Well, maybe, but that didn’t fix the problem. I pulled the old board again, and it seems kinda cloudy. So checked reviews and videos - this one claimed no programming required and was certainly cheaper than another visit to the dealer. Just plugged it in, reconnected the battery and presto! Liftgate back in business!!

Product worked as described. Easy Install, works with Fob, inside button, manual touch and closes with the liftgate switch inside the liftgate. Fantastic seller and the reviews helped as well. EXCELLENT!

My 2012 Cadillac SRX liftgate control module was corroded and lots of dirt on the circuit board. My liftgate(trunk) would not open at all. I had to manually climb in from the back and use a screwdriver to pop it open. After I installed this module it now can open from the outside. However, it does not open automatically using the key fob or button by window locks. I think also my hydraulic pump needs to be replaced or maybe it just needs to be programmed at GM. I am perfectly happy now that my trunk finally opens from the outside. Would be great if Cadillac could own up to this defect/flawed design that allowed water/dirt to get inside. I can go without it opening automatically using keyfob or the button in the door. Would have to spend a couple hundred more dollars.

No instructions provided. I watched YouTube video to figure out how to open the trunk from inside and found my way to the module. I did try to unplug the fuse prior to plugging this one. But I ended up unplugging the lift gate motor fuse rather than the liftgate module fuse. But when I redid the process, I just hear click click sount from the module, but the door will not open by itself. I see that I am able to unlock and crack open the trunk, but I have to lift it manually. I need to figure out how to get it to fully work. Better than before...but not quite good enough.
