This cord was exactly what I was looking for and the price is good. However, there were lots of little imperfections in the cord. Most of the flaws were spots where the synthetic core had burst through the cotton weave exterior. There were also a few spots where the cord had basically unravelled and was very loose.There were sections of the cord that were in perfect condition and then there'd be several metres in a row where the flaws occurred about 6-12 inches apart. This pattern repeated throughout the entire length.All that being said, the projects for which I am using the cord don't need it to be perfect, so I would likely order it again if I can't find a similar length and value elsewhere.

It was good quality rope, but it had a weird musty smell. Not enough of a smell for me to return it (I’m sensitive to smells so I would) but the smell is still there and would be better if it were smell free! Worked great for baskets though. But I will not buy this rope again.

This is perfect rope for practicing knots. The cotton braid has enough friction that the knot holds its shape and gives young kids time to figure out the next step without everything falling apart. But the size and the sturdy core keep the knot from pulling together so tightly that you can't get it untied.For the amount of rope you get, the price was incredible. There were a few small defects in the rope but since I was cutting them into shorter lengths, they were easy to work around.To make the knot ropes, I cut this into 5 foot lengths, first painting a band around the rope at each interval with diluted wood glue. The glue soaks in just enough to keep the rope from fraying. When dry, cut with a dog nail clipper - the rounded blade compresses rather than spreads the fibers and further minimizes fraying. Re-dip the ends in the diluted wood glue. When that's all dry, bundle the ropes up, tie them in the middle and use fabric die to make the ends distinctive. Since I was making these for Cub Scouts, one side just had to be Royal Blue and the other side Yellow. ("Left over right" doesn't work so well when they're still learning their left from their right. "Blue over Yellow" works for almost everyone.)

I purchased this to make rope bowls for the first time. This was a good value and just enough rope without being too much. The rope is a good quality, nice to work with and there was enough to make a variety of items without any splices. My initial need was to corale the bread that is stored on the top of my toaster oven. I made one 14" W x 14" L x 6" H that fits the space and makes it easy to move when using the oven. There was plenty left over to make 9 smaller bowls for misc. things around the house.
