Resolution is 0.00001" and the measuring depth is 3.15". The gauge has constant spring pressure for repeatability and Bower's FastFit measuring heads for rapid measurement. It uses a three-point contact system for the detection of lobing or triangular form error, and ceramic contact points provide high durability and stability with regard to thermal expansion. No 6 inch rule included. Made in China. Sharp edges. Exact same item as sold by iGuaging and PEC, same case, different brand lable. Otherwise nice little layout square. Use fine diamond file to ease edges, smooth up slide.

After returning another tool that was defective I purchased this tool. It is so small and yet so indispensable in my workshop. I rarely do a job where I don't pick this up. Allows me to make perfectly straight 90° measurements.

Having the phrase 'both 4" and 6" blades' in the product name is deceiving. It's only the 4" blade. Product is great, just not what I was expecting.

Description said "both 4" and 6" blades. "Was buying as a gift and a little bum that it come with only a 4" blade.It's made out of gold quality and it's truly square.

This is a great pocket square for quick measurements and marking. Simple and solid, I expect it to last.

I have multiple places I work and have multiple tools. I have several other similar 4” squares, one a Starrett and the other a PEC. The Fowler is an excellent alternative to both. Dead accurate out of the box. Easy to read and nice in the hand, with edges not to sharp and an attractive paint on the stock end.I would place this square below the Starrett and slightly below the PEC. Why? The stock was just a bit “gritty” in moving along the blade. A bit of oil and about five minutes miving back & forth cured that.At the Amazon price of $26.00, this square is a real bargain!

First off, Fowler has been in the measurement business for a long time and I've never been disappointed in any product with their name on it. This little guy certainly lives up to the family name.It's easy to read, easy to adjust, and dead-nuts square. Keep in the ruler is 4" long... So it's perfect for measuring and marking smaller dimensions on smaller stock, or those situations where a 12" ruler is just too unwieldy. It happens.So, here's my single observation:The body is 33/64" x 1 1/16" x 2 7/16".Guys. GUYS. SERIOUSLY. You were *that* close to making it 0.5"x1"X2" or 2.5" ... and you missed. You. Fowler. Of all people. You missed. It's SO CLOSE to being the single most badass square the world has ever seen. And then it's not. It's just really good, and impossible to argue with for the price.But damn. How awesome would that be if the body was also a little setup block? That would be the coolest thing ever, right?So close.
