CONS: Laser brightness.PROS: Pretty accurate. Magnets. Rechargeable. Sensitive!Additional Thoughts: I compared this to several inexpensive levels and this item indicated level was in-between all of them which really makes me wonder about my levels! I am not experienced at using laser levels so take that into account for my review. I have used this to level shelf brackets and my new refrigerator. One thing that really surprised me was how sensitive this is! I can see how this could be set in a gutter to set a fall rate easily using the Inch/Foot setting, or on a roof to measure the pitch. I did try to use this outside to set some plumbing and found it hard to find the laser about 40 feet away but it was sunny out and I was trying to hit a 1 inch pipe.LovingTheRetiredLife

From the factory the unit I received was off by 2 degrees. (Ie: an order of magnitude worse than the claimed accuracy, and two orders of magnitude worse than the display resolution.) Set it on a level surface, hit the Ref button to zero it, then turn it upside down and it should again read zero, but instead it reads over 2 degrees. Set it on one of the sides and it's off by a degree or more. Is this a sensor issue? Or sides of the case that are not square? Don't know.So probably you need to run the actual "Calibration" procedure. There's no instruction for this in the microscopic user guide. But one of the Amazon product videos shows (rather poorly) the button-pressing procedure for calibration. However evidently the firmware changed or something, because no variant I tried of that procedure would prompt my unit into "CAL" mode. So that renders the product pretty much useless.

Works great after calibration. To be clear on the calibration instructions if you found the video in the"videos" section of the posting: 1- Long press the On/Off & Ref buttons simultaneously while the tool is off. 2- wait for the "Ref" to show and then disappear on the display. 3- long press the Ref button. "Calo" will display. 4- place tool on known level surface and wait. 5- rotate 90° and click Ref button again and wait. 6- continue the process through "Cal 3".... Works great now!

This doohickey by Snakol can measure slope and has a pair of lasers that are good for, among other things, showing straight lines and right angles. You charge it via a USB-C cable, and a nearly foot-long one is included. Each side has a magnet in it, so you can stick it on ferromagnetic surfaces. If you're working on a surface that magnets don't work on, such as wood or drywall, there's an included metal plate with a reusable sticky pad (they call it nano tape) for attaching it to those surfaces. Each of the 4 sides can measure the slope. Sides across from each other should measure the same, and sides adjacent to each other should add up to 90, assuming you're measuring in degrees. I have a sloped desk surface, so I used it on that. 1st side of the device measured 9.02 degrees. Using the side to its left, the 2nd side, measured 81.3 degrees. The 3rd side, which is the side across from the 1st, measured 6.71 degrees. And the final side, the 4th, which is across from the 2nd, measured 82.28 degrees. The difference between sides 1 and 3 is stark at 2.29 degrees. The difference between the 2nd and 4th sides is 0.98 degrees, much less of a discrepancy, but still. When I tried measuring other slopes, 1 side was always off by more rather than matching or nearly matching the measurement from its twin side across from it. What this says to me is this measuring device isn't precise, and one side is noticeably worse than the others by 2 or 3 degrees. The box also includes a pretty rugged woven nylon carrying case, a small piece of bent metal for placing this on 90-degree corners, an attachable wrist cord, and instructions in both English and Chinese.I'm hesitant to recommend this measuring device due to its inaccuracies, but as long as you don't need exacting measurements and/or want to use the lasers, it's ok.
