Information in the details states, "brass hose 1/2 inch barb fittings included" however, they are aluminum and please note most transmission lines are 3/8". I couldn't find aluminum barb fittings locally, so I tossed this in the bin and made my own.

Purchased this to replace a failed Derale temp switch. Installed this one yesterday to find out it leaks at the sensor. Tried to tighten it a little to stop the leak and broke the probe off the sensor. Waited to long to install and now can't return it. What a piece of garbage.

I wired this to a relay in order to have it flip the switch at the designated temperature. The whole assembly works like a charm and despite 4wheeling, driving at highway speeds and regular day to day use I have never exceeded 195 degrees (appearantly trans fluid starts to degrade at 200).

This thermostat was exactly what I needed to control the cooling fan for a high performance offroad hydraulic power steering system. The price is great, it was delivered quickly and installation was a snap.
