Wish it wasn't so expensive, but worth the price in the end! I bought this as a replacement for my Canon 5D Mark ii, perfect for it. Easy installation as long as you are careful and do it in good lighting.

I was happy to put this in my 5D MKII because I had a scratch in my old one. Got it in and everything seemed great and I was so happy. About 10 shutter click later the flap came undone and scratched the heck out of the Screen. I am sure it was my fault but a total bummer. If you read this and you install it.. My window piece clicked, but it did not click all the way in place. After I reinstalled the old Screen in my camera I could tell how I messed up. Just expensive enough to not want to buy another one though. :(

I bought my Mark 5D II and I noticed I had a black edge and only a small circle around the viewfinder every time I wanted to take a picture and I didn't know what was the problem. I first thought it was my lenses so I used a different one only to find out I still had the same problem. I used the live view and the camera was taking seem normal with a full image, it was until I read some reviews that the focusing screen was the problem. I order the replacement and when I decide to change it, I notice my camera did not have the focusing to begin with so I put it in the one I have received and notice the difference immediately. My camera works great and now I now it was a simple solution.

I was using a friend's Canon 5d for weeks, trying to figure out why the hell I couldn't see the lens' focus through the viewfinder. Somehow, I stumbled upon the possibility that this part was missing, and indeed it was.Installation takes less than 5 minutes and is incredibly easy. Just follow the instructions.

I was looking for an original replacement for my damaged 5D mk II focussing screen (scratched). For my surprise It came in a very secure plastic box and with an additional tool to remove/install the screen. This tool made the process of removing/installing so much easier.

It's easy to install, works just like the original focusing screen and decently priced. I was going to take it to a professional but my wife tried to replace it and succeeded on her first try. Don't be intimidated or pay someone to do this. Cleaning your sensor, yes but not replacing a focusing screen.Just make sure you're buying the right size! This one works perfect with the 5d.

installation was pretty simple per the instructions. works like a charm, just like the standard focusing screen. follow the directions and you'll be fine.my personal suggestions other than the directions... if you've got the time. run hot water through your shower head to build up steam in your bathroom for a few minutes, wait for it to clear and you should have a semi dust free environment to do your install.be careful of touching the screen to parts of the camera while you are putting it in.don't force anything. if it doesn't move or go in or whatever, it's probably not supposed to so stop what you're doing and try it another way.
