I just bought a second coil of this rope. We've used it for cutting 65' trees and removing big limbs from others and we're pleased with both coils.

This is good, solid braided rope. It feels good in the hand and has a firm feel. It doesn’t crush if you pinch it and the sheath has a good feel to it. It is rather stiff though. If you look at my photos showing a bowline knot, the looser knot is about as tight as it goes without helping to seat the knot more firmly by hand. The tighter knot is after working it to get it tight. It feels good and secure after it has been firmed up.I measured the diameter of this rope at about 0.475 inches, just under ½ inch. 12mm is 0.472 inches, so this is probably nominally 12mm rope, not a true ½ inch.I like this rope and don’t mind that it’s a bit shy or a true ½ inch. But I have to point out some uses in the item description that it may not be best for. The description says “halyard”, but with its stiffness this rope isn’t the best for going around a sheave or pulley. The description says “arborist” but there is a no specification on its strength so an arborist might want to invest in a tested, certified rope instead.This is a nice rope to consider if you need a good general purpose rope and don’t mind that it’s a bit stiff.
