I recently purchased the Heavy Duty Disc Brake Piston Caliper Compressor Rewind Tool Set and Wind Back Tool Kit to tackle a brake pad replacement job on my vehicles, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with its performance. I have a mix of cars in my garage, including American and Japanese models, and this kit worked perfectly across the board.First off, the build quality is excellent. The tools feel solid and durable, and I can tell they’ll hold up to repeated use. I appreciate that the kit comes with a range of adapters, making it versatile enough to fit different types of brake calipers. This saved me from having to buy multiple tools for various vehicles.The rewind function was incredibly useful for resetting the pistons during brake pad changes. I worked on both a European car and my daily driver, and I was able to complete the brake jobs without any issues. The right-hand and left-hand wind-back tools made it easy to work on both sides of the calipers, which is something you don’t always get with simpler kits. Although I haven't had a chance to use it yet, based on my experience and having worked with many similar sets this one seems to be of decent quality as well as pretty comprehensive. It has two types of tools, one for each direction. That is a good thing, because not all pistons rotate the same way. The plates and adapters are stamped with letters that match the molding, so they each have their specific position and the set is easily to organize after use, which is very thought through. I can't wayt to have the opportunity to use it.

I used this set to change the brakes on my older Acura. This kit is very complete. I’m positive it has an adapter for almost any car. High quality metal was used for these pieces. Recommend for the diy home mechanic. Great price for what you get.

This is a decent quality caliper piston set...It appears to be durable enough to withstand some frequent use...Though I'm not sure I'd use this set on a heavily seized caliper due to the lighter weight steel used...I may be wrong. This is just an initial observation..The blow molded plastic case is the typical standard, semi-flimsy variety. When I initially opened it, nothing was still in it snap-fit place. The nice thing though is they labeled each piece and labeled where it belongs in the case..For average use, it is more than adequate..

Before my husband opted to get one of these he would use a combo of vise grips or a C clamp to push down/compress the piston which was doable but kind of a haphazard way of dealing with this. He ended up gifting his set like this one he just ordered to our son in law when our son in law needed to change out his brakes and this set is a replacement for my husband of a similar set he already owned.This is a well appointed kit with appropriate tools to compress the piston. It includes a nice carrying case/storage case that allows the parts to be readily seen and accessed. The various parts worked as needed when my husband tested them out quickly on a set of brakes he was changing. He says these tools are invaluable and a time saver for the DIY mechanic.My husband says that upon first inspection he is impressed with the quality of this set however time will tell if it lives up to expectations. If anything proves to be not 5* worthy in the future with continued use of this kit I will update my review accordingly.

This is a decent set for completing brake jobs at home. It has everything needed to get the job done semi professionally. The parts themselves seem of decent quality and it has many attachments dependent on which vehicle you are working on. This is a good set for the DIY’r at home. Much better than using the alternative.
