Paint is too thick, need to be worn in or filed down to fit on brake spring.Would be nice to add a spring to the tool to make them easier to manipulate.

Handles should be made from stronger steel and each handle should have an ABS plastic or 1" diameter pusher at the end of each arm to allow you to adequately apply enough force to engage the retaining springs. Hinge bolt system is cheap for a fulcrum and grade to course thread fasteners are not adequate as a fine thread fastener would do and through bolt should have a wingnut and shank for support.

It works well and is strong enough for the job took a minute to figure it out but it makes changing semi brake springs so much safer and easier than using vise grips and a screwdriver

The purchase of the brake spring pliers was well worth it. It has made work so much easier to put brake anchor springs on. Money well spent!! I'd recommend it to anyone!!

Nobody that does brake service should be without this tool. Super easy to use and stops you from busting your knuckles trying to pry those bothersome brake springs into place.
