It is a fine cable, you just need to put a drop of superglue on each connector as it doesn't have any kind of strain-relief. It's quite short for a balanced cable. Most of the point of a balanced cable is to be able to do a longer run without any kind of interference (not that you really notice any these days anyways), so it's a bit of a surprise to see that it's much shorter than the stock cable. In any case, at this price point it's an ok deal; and it sounds perfectly fine, as any suitable cable should.

I've ordered these cables twice and both were bad. If you want some long lasting cables, look elsewhere.First cables I ordered the right connector was finnicky where I had to jiggle them to work so there was always steady audio loss so I got a replacement thinking this was just chance. Replacement came in, worked fine until yesterday the right connector ripped off. Second pair lasted 3 months.Seems this is a durability issue with these cables because the first pair worked fine for a few days but the right connector gave out on those really fast and this time the right connector just broke off. I'm really careful with my electronics so to see cables start to give out/rip within days/few months is definitely pointing towards a product issue.

Other reviewers here have pointed out this cable changes the 650's signature, and they are correct. It brings out the treble in an organic sounding way. But what I can't figure, is how this frequency change happens. When using the stock cable, it's simple enough to jump into an equalizer like poweramp and fix the 650's "dark" highs; but when you do this, a touch of sibilance creeps in, and few extra details are revealed. But with this cable, the highs come alive. I can clearly hear more details in my music with cleaner highs and without a hint of sibilance. Remarkable. There is a trade off here though, for whatever voodoo magic is at work also rolls off the lower end somewhat. If you can deal with a slight bass reduction, then I can definitely recommend the cable.

I purchased this cable as an option to go with the Sennheiser HD660 S2 since they don't include an XLR connection. I wanted to try a cable with an XLR connector to go along with a DAC/Amp combo I recently purchased. In honesty, the difference in sound between the standard unbalanced TRS cable that came with the HD660 S2 and these is negligible (to my untrained ears). The main benefits that I get from this cable is the fact that it is truly non-microphonic from end to end. The cables that come with the Sennheiser pick up annoying bumps, scrapes, etc., straight to the cups. This cable doesn't have that problem. Also the cable is longer, so I can sit back in my chair without the cable tugging. It comes in a plastic travel box and the cable is inside a leatherette pouch with the connector inside of little ziplock bags along with a leather-like strap to keep the cable neatly rolled up when not in use. Very nice touch. Also, appearance-wise, I like the braided encosure of the cable-it also compliments the bronze branding on the HD660 S2. Nice touch. My only wish would be that the connectors to the cups should be something other than the clear plastic. It's hard to see which one is left or right and it cheapens the look a little.

音質は自然だし普通に良いと思うし、何と言っても取り回しが楽で良い。普段使いのケーブルとしてはかなりオススメできる。

A/B test your cables guys! People say it's snake oil but you can hear for yourself that it's not. I've tested out 7 cables and they all affected my audio in many different ways. Here are my reviews for them ranked from best to worst.#1. $21.59 | Youkamoo 8 Core Silver Plated (3.5mm) - Grey- This one was almost a night and day difference from the OEM. I immediately noticed how my songs opened up and the highs just sounded so nice and sparkly. It wasn't an increase in treble but more that I heard details in the highs that I've never heard before. For example, I can hear these subtle mouth noises a singer makes when they sing that I never noticed before. It was almost mind-boggling. I definitely hear an increase in soundstage and detail overall. The lows sound the same and the midrange/vocals sound even better.#2. OEM Sennheiser Cable- Surprisingly the OEM cable that comes with the headphones sounded better than most of the 3rd party options I've tried.#3. $15.99 | FAAEL HD600 Cable (3.5mm)- This one sounds really close to the OEM cable that maybe it should be tied for 2nd place. I could've just been biased towards the OEM cable because I've used it for so long, but I would say the OEM cable just sounded ever so slightly better. Compared to the #1 cable, this one just had a little bit less detail and it didn't add that sparkle that the #1 cable adds. Overall, it was just a tad bit harder to distinguish and pick apart instruments during choruses.#4. $23.99 | Youkamoo 8 Core Silver Plated (3.5mm) - Black w/ translucent connectors- This one looks the same as the #1, apart from the color and the piece where the two cables fuse into one. But it didn't sound as good. It was noticeably less detailed and worse than the OEM and the #3 non-silver plated cable. Can't really explain it other than it just didn't have that magic that I was looking for.#5. $16.00 | NewFantasia Upgrade Cable (3.5mm w/ 6.35mm adapter)- High are noticeably degraded and lows are less extended. The soundstage is definitely narrower and not in a good way. This cable just sounded worse than OEM.#6. $29.35 | Hilitand Cable, Double Needle 8 Core Balanced OCC Silver Plated- Overpriced and you can buy the same cable (see below) for 1/7 the cost.- Either this is a poorly implemented silver plated cable or they're outright lying. The audio sounded so grainy and my songs lost so much detail, especially in the highs. Hi-hats and cymbals were hard to distinguish and vocals lost their airiness.#6. $4.35 | Double Needle 8 Core Balanced OCC Silver Plated Audio (Same as above)- See the review for the Hilitand cable since this is literally the same cable for 1/7 the price. They both sounded exactly the same.

Overall the build quality is pretty great from the 3.5 inch connector up until you get to the connectors that go into the headphones. There is no strain relief so the cable tends to scratch where it is terminated which was an easy fix with some Heat shrink tubing which if you use red on one side and blue on the other it doubles as a good I.d. On which side is which. Also the tolerance on the connector is less than desirable I couldn’t even plug it in to my headphones without first removing a small amount of plastic where it plugs in on both sides and even then it is a tight fit on my pair of hd 600. Overall if you don’t mind the connectors going into the headphone being a step down from original and don’t mind making a small modification, the rest of the cable is actually of great quality and feels very nice. The metal cinch is heavy and has a nice carbon fiber ring in the center, the weight really makes the cable rest better on my chest. The cable didn’t need to be stretched out to make it straight unlike a lot of cables I have bought. Overall I would definitely buy again but I would pay more if the connectors into the ear cup were better and the right connector was red and the left was blue for easy right left identification.

Bought this after returning a $70 similar cable. This unit has way better packaging, softer and more pliable touch cable, and better XLR piece. Same sound quality as the unit costing 3x as much here on Amazon. Only concern would be level of shielding within, but I haven’t experienced any issues with that so far. Solid but in my opinion. Using with my Drop HD6XX headphones on Schiit Magnius. The sound is glorious!
