I really love this complete felting kit which is fun to make, a great value for the money and creates a beautiful felted project. It does take imagination and a lot of time to get done as you need to felt it until it becomes firm. Wool felting is very forgiving and easy to work with. There are pictured instructions but, the included QR code to the video is very helpful with the technique, especially paying attention to how much wool they are holding in their hand, blending wool colors, wrapping wool onto the cream colored base wool and, needling technique. You have to use pictures, videos and your imagination as, there are no size measurements and you are making this from scratch with the supplied materials. I also watched other videos that I searched for to get a complete understanding of how to needle felt. Included is color accurate, felting wool packaged by color; two sizes, very sharp, felting needles, 5 pieces each size, larger gauge 38 for beginning to felt and smaller gauge 40 for finer felting at the end; comfortable, easy to hold, wood needle holder handle, that I had to a watch video in order to figure out how to install the needle; nice leather thimbles that work very well to help prevent sticking your fingers while felting; thick wool felting pad to lay and hold your project pieces on while felting, to prevent breaking felting needles and scratching your tabletop; straight pins to hold project pieces together while felting and as pins for your pin cushion when complete. I recommend creating all of the base pieces with the cream colored wool to make sure everything is in proportion and that you portion out the wool for each shaped piece based on the pictured instructions and the QR code to the instructional video.
