I've been holding myself back for years because I was using a lesser mouthpiece. This was the perfect upgrade to advance my skills. People noticed the change in my sound and abilities. I've been playing for decades. I'll probably get the 6C or even higher to see what differences they make. A great price point to find out what you've been missing.

This mouthpiece arrived on time and adequately packaged. The real treat however was when I mounted it on my sax - along with one of the four Vandoren Jazz Reed Mix reeds I ordered - and belted out the opening phrase of "Winelight" (which is my go-to phrase for testing anything related to the alto sax). The ease with which I was able to voice the phrase and the power in the sound were amazing, and reassuring. The 5C size should prove to be just the right fit for my style. I am sure I will be able to elevate my musical prowess and enjoy doing so with this mouthpiece and reed combo. Highly recommended.

The Tenor Sax produces beautiful sound with a Yamaha 5C mouthpiece and a strength 2 reed strapped on.

I started my granddaughter with the 4C mouthpiece, three years later she informs me her section leader informs her she needs a new mouthpiece. Went up to the 5C and it was a great choice. Had studied mouthpieces before and already had an idea we would end up with the 5C. The design, quality, ad affordability made my choice easy. Shipping was quick.

Standard Yamaha quality. I needed a slightly wider opening. Perfect.Be aware it doesn’t come with a ligature.

My son is learning the Alto Sax. He usually has some squeaks and the sound was a little tinny. This cost him an honor band audition. After getting the 5c his squeaking has decreased by 90%, and the sound he produces is rich. He forgot one day and used an old mouthpiece and it was immediately noticeable. Highly recommended the 5c if looking for a high quality sound at a reasonable price.

This mouthpiece is amazing I’m currently still a sophomore in high school and I’m joining jazz band in 2 months this month piece sounds nice and warm. A beginner could use this product. : )
