Caring for Your Scuba Diving Gloves

To prolong the life of your diving gloves and maintain their performance, proper care and maintenance are essential. Here are some tips:

  1. Rinse thoroughly with freshwater after each dive to remove saltwater, sand, and debris.
  2. Allow gloves to air dry completely away from direct sunlight before storing them.
  3. Avoid contact with sharp objects or rough surfaces that could cause tears or punctures.
  4. Periodically inspect gloves for signs of wear and tear, such as fraying seams or holes, and replace them as needed.
  5. Store gloves flat or hanging to prevent creasing and maintain their shape.

My friend and I started cold plunging/swimming a couple of months ago. We live in NW Washington so it's pretty cold (water was 42 today, 10 degrees warmer than the air). Her hands hurt badly from the cold water and stiffened up a lot. So I got her these gloves and it made a huge difference! They make a swim in Puget Sound possible

The fingers are too short compared to the rest of the glove. Weird proportions

Got this for my cave diving adventures to keep my hands safe. These gloves provide decent insulation preventing my hands from freezing up in the cold spring water. They do run a little snug, but I rather them be a second skin versus fighting with a glove underwater. These gloves are a really good quality and I am impressed with how well they are holding up.

I received a pair of the XUKER neoprene 3mm dive gloves. Upon receiving the them, my first visual impression is good. The seems are stitched outward, slightly raised and glued. They don't stick out enough to interfere with working any of my scuba gear. It does produce a smoother inside surface that feels a little nicer. The raised anti-slip bumps are consistent in height and pattern.Based on the product description size chart, I ordered the size M. As I prefer them to be, they are a little snug when you put them on dry. This is perfect when they actually get used in the water. These seem to maintain the fit well after getting wet. The seems are currently good enough to prevent a lot of water from escaping or entering. Dive gloves don't need to be water proof, and these provide a decent amount of water retention to create a thermal barrier. It is funny to hear people complain about dive gloves not being waterproof. I do like the longer cuff. It is nice to tuck into a full wetsuit. I am not a fan of the Velcro sleeve wrap. For me, it is too small and too tight. Since these have a longer sleeve, I will probably remove the Velcro wrist wrap. The anti-slip bumps are just okay. I don't know if they truly add much during a dive. They might be useful when climbing a boat ladder. I usually prefer a little more rubberized protection against all of the invasive zebra mussels during fresh water dives.Overall, I like these gloves. The are comfortable, look nice and seem to perform well. I am satisfied with the quality and function of these dive gloves.
