A cheap pair of callipers for your mountain bike, not e-bike. I would certainly NOT put these on your e-bike.Does not come with pads, so please bare that in mind, does not come with cables, bare that in mind too.A nice couler - I went for gold.Easy to install, (I had to purchase bolts to put in, but that not a problem). You do need to purchase the right size disc to be compatible for these, luckily I had the right size.Overall im not recommending, due to the extra £29 I had to spend and due to the fact it would of been more if I had to purchase the actual new discs (the rotor)... and due to the fact these are cheap made and not fit for an e-bike only a mountain bike. they do have that cheap look to them... and theirs NO regulation certificate for quality re-assured uk products that all genuine ones have. So use with caution.

I have an old bike thats perfectly fine, cheaper Shimano components, but some random generic single piston pull disc mech brakes. They are fine because I'm not doing 300w, but this is a commuter grocery bike.Replacing was easy, simply swap, I did try to use the cables I had, but they were bad, springy and not very strong. Even though they weren't new, they were generic cables. After a bit of research on hydraulic cable pull brakes, I ended up using premium frictionless new cables and shrouds, which cost MORE than these brakes. At that total price with the cables, hydralic set isn't that too far away. This is definitely something to consider. The pads were fine on my cheap rotors. I bedded them after replacing the wire and they were much stronger. Still a bit springy and the bite is better than single sided pull mechanicals. But still nowhere enar a true, even cheap, hydraulic sert.I ended up getting better pads and rotors, at least they were ones with somewhat decent reviews ZTTO branded, and once bled, they work well.I did find that the pistons sometimes stuck, it might just need some use to get used to. However, I still get some odd scraping from time to time, and sometimes the front brake squeals. Sometimes, not often. Also, since my bike has internal routing (ugh), the cable that goes to the rear has some squishy feeling where there is no braking until about 40% of the pull, whereas the front which is shorter and no bends, starts grabbing as early as 10% pull. Just standard pull brake issues.Otherwise, I think this is a fine upgrade for single pistons. I would still recommend hydraulic, especially if you need to replace housing and cables, which can cost up to $40-$60 depending on compressionless Jagwire, etc. . I just really dislike the feeling where both brakes feel different....

These replaced some Avid BB7s, and the performance difference is night and day. Granted, the old brakes had a couple year old pads and were from the early 2000s, but it's crazy to me how much quality hardware is out there even under brands whose names I don't recognize.Brake responsiveness with these calipers is great. Not full hydraulic level, but a definite step up from straight mechanical and doesn't require replacing anything else!

What it is: Set of 2 red anodized machined aluminum cable actuated hydraulic disc brake calipers. Includes 4 black mounting bolts and washers, 2 red loaded calipers (brake pads and springs installed), 2 hex wrenches, instructions. Why I like it: My gravel bike has the Shimano 105 11 speed cable actuated group set with mechanical disc brakes. I wanted the power of hydraulic brakes, and this kit is a very good upgrade. It directly bolts on and installs easily, the machining and finish matches my bike, it fits standard disc caliper mounts. It weighs nearly the same as the mechanical calipers it replaces. It’s excellent for touring bikes, gravel bikes, and bike packing, because brake cables and housings are much easier to service and source parts for in the field vs hydraulic lines, fittings, and brake bleeding. Once installed, the brake pads need to be bedded to your rotors—riding and braking around the neighborhood is good for this. Once fully bedded, the brakes stop very well, and the instructions clearly show how to install and adjust them. The only thing missing, and this very important, is the replacement brake pad kit part number and compatibility. I always keep spares on hand, and the manufacturer should have included this info. Overall, a very cost effective performance upgrade to my gravel bike—we’ll see how well the kit holds up to the grit and grime of gravel biking!

I got these for my womans new ebike that came with cable pull mechanical disk brakes. The install was simple just take off old calipers put new ones in there place it took me all of about 20 min to have the old gone and the new working. These brakes work about 95% as good as full hydrolic brakes do they look real nice with there purple color and milling they were easy to install and they work great what else can i say one negative thing is they were not labeled front or back and are not interchangeable but thats not really that big a deal these brakes are great!

No good for a fat tire bike if you plan to do winter riding, in -6 degrees celcius my caliper froze up in less than 10 mins, had to remove these completely and go back stock.

Great upgrade, got these hydraulic calipers to replace the mecanical ones on my MTB, everything is of great quality and finish, swaping them was very easy and they come with everything needed, looks and function great, they're responsive and requiere less effort to stop, recommended!

This is a front and rear set of cable actuated hydraulic brakes. Install was easy.Loosen the cable pinch bolt, remove the 2 caliper mounting bolts and remove the caliper, install this new caliper using the reverse of above and adjust the cable tension and alignment. That's pretty much it. Once this initial setup is done the brakes shouldn't require any further adjustment because the brakes are self adjusting.I would say that performance is about on par or maybe a bit better than the mechanical brakes that it replaced. The brake lever required a lot of effort to actuate the brakes, pretty much like the mechanical brakes. I didn't see any advantage when it came to lever effort. If ease of install is an overriding concern then these brakes are a good choice but full hydraulic brakes work a lot better. It's a compromise.Quality is ok and price is reasonable.

So far so good and over a 100 miles on em so far! I'm not sure how pure hydraulics would work on my Amyet G60 95 lb. ebike (I'd think pretty good!), but this was a good inexpensive step to stopping 300lbs of rider and bike much better.

A lot better than my stock cable brakes. They seem to stop me faster. Bedded them in and they were doing fine. Didn’t want to commit to the full hydraulic brakes yet. I’m satisfied
