I ordered two sets of this brake.On my Schwinn High Sierra, the front brake went on and worked perfectly. Decent stopping power, especially on gravel rail trails when coming to a road intersection.Back set? Not good. When I ordered this, I could never get it to work. I would set the spring, tighten the mounting screw, and the entire piece was stuck and would not move. I figured it was me and used a different brake set for the back.I revisited that set again yesterday, same issue, tightened the mounting screw and it would stay stuck in position. After comparing to the other arm, I see the problem. The internal cylinder metal piece should protrude from the bottom of the housing. In this part's case, it is flush. Hence why it will not move when the mounting screw is tightened.So, two stars it is. As the front brake set works great, this rear set is defective.
