This is a great option for my bike tools. It includes a soft cloth bag which allows me to wrap all the tools. This bag helps keep down the "rattling" noise of the inside contents. It fits perfectly in my bottle cage and also has included a think black elastic to help secure it in the bottle cage in case the downhill ride gets a bit bumpy. Will it last? Time will tell, but I'm not worried at all. The cost is low, the quality is high and it does its job. Small enough as well that I have room for another cage and water bottle on my frame. I would purchase again.

Light Weight, holds a lot, and easily fits into any cage (compared to the other zipper types). Cannot go wrong with this.

This is my second purchase of this product. I like it so much, I had to come back for another. I use this as my trunk on my touring bike in the cooler months, I keep my gloves and balaclava inside to keep them dry and at the ready. The Mezzo pod comes with a soft bag, so if you are putting hard objects inside the pod, they won’t rattle as much. Plenty of room for tools and a couple of inner tubes. You could even put a pack jacket inside one.

I have tried several of these water bottle cage cargo holders. Every one until now has opened at the top which makes loading difficult. This one opens in the middle and is tall enough for me to store a 650bx1.5 tube inside the lid and all my tools in the bottom.I have two concerns, one of which is it does not seem as watertight as others I've used and the other is it is a little bit looser in the bottle cage than I would like. It ships with a rubber band to put around the bottle to cut down on ejection. However I wish it was just a little bigger around so it would fill the cage better. I use a Lyzene power cage and luckily have three sets of cage mounts on my bike. The power cage grips other bottles extremely well but this bottle is just sufficient size.Edit, just to be clear, the Silca pump in the picture I posted does NOT fit inside the bottle, I have it strapped to my frame.

I got this to use instead of a seat bag but it's not big enough for my wallet. Keys, bike tube, bike tool yes. I stores my gloves in it and it made them smell weird.

Who likes saddle bags? Not this guy. Velcro wears out on the strap. The bag rubs your thighs. And they look corny as heck. Just don't waste your money. The bottle cage can hold everything and then some. I can fit a spare tube, two CO2 cartridges, a CO2 regulator, several allen wrenches/tools, a small snack, the microfiber bag, then a little room to spare. I rarely ride more than 25-35 miles at a time. I go through about 3/4 of a water bottle in that time frame, so I can spare the extra holder. If I'm riding further than that, I'll stick an extra cage on the back of my seat-tube and put the pod back there.Build quality seems good so far, but I'll update as I give it more use. The threads are plastic, but it locks up tight. Don't imagine you'd have any issue in the rain. The microfiber bag keeps the clanking to a minimum. It all comes down to how you pack it. Again, not an issue. Someone mentioned it doesn't fit a standard cage very well. I'm not sure what "standard" they're going by, but it locks up tight in my Bontrager cage. See photos. Snug fit, but slides in and out no problem. Wrapping the supplied rubber band around the contact point seems like overkill, in my opinion. For $11, I'd pick this up over a saddle bag any day of the week. The 750 mL capacity makes it one of the best bottle cages on the market. I looked at them all and I'm glad I picked this one up. Well worth it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. More than happy to answer or take additional photos.

It was kind of confusing that the picture in my shopping basket did not match the product I added to my basket. I ordered it anyway and got the right product. I wish it were a tad taller. I have a Giant mini pump that I wanted to fit into it. But it is a very clean looking tool holder that does the job nicely. I don't understand the reviews stating that the bottle falls out and that an slab cage is needed. It fit securely in my Blackburn Camber Carbon cage securely. The tool bag it comes with to prevent rattles is a nice touch as well.

At how much I can get into this little pod. I had been keeping my tube and inflator in a 24oz water bottle. I had to keep my multi tool in my pocket since it wouldnt fit. Now with this I am able to store my tube, multi tool, 2 co2 cartridges, inflator, tire levers, patch kit, zip ties, first aid supplies, emergency money, and a pair of latex gloves without putting too much preasure on the screw on top. I could probably ditch the multi tool and add another tube and loose allen wrenches if I wanted. No more tacky saddle bag!

Bought the pod as to reduce the amount of stuff in my pockets I can store two tubes, tyre levers, three c02 Cartridges with the valve head which you can put into a provided cloth pouch to stop them from rattling, I guess that's enough of the most important parts to take, you could at a squeeze put in a couple of Allen keys but what I like about the pod it splits making it easy to remove the items .

The XLAB Mezzo Water Bottle Storage Pod is fairly small and narrow so it’s not as snug in the bottle holder as I’d like it to be but I haven’t had any problems with it coming loose. Nonetheless, I use the heavy duty rubber band that comes with it to make it extra secure. I can fit quite a bit of stuff in there including a tube, levers, two CO2 canisters, an energy bar and a gel. It’s a nice extra storage option for a ride where one water bottle is sufficient. However, I live in Florida so it’s not often that I can use just one bottle on my bike but for $12 it’s nice to have around.
