I purchased these bottle cages to replace my two current metal bottle cages. I decided to buy two metal insulated bottles to keep my drinks colder on long rides and didn’t want the metal on metal scratching or rattling. I purchased the CamelBak 18 oz. steel bottles. The CamelBak steel bottles fit tightly in the cages. I’m a casual rider so I stop and take breaks when I want a drink. I think the cages probably grip the CamelBak steel bottles too tightly to remove on the go. I prefer the tight grip but, I’m sure many people would find the fit unacceptable. I tried my CamelBak dirt series podium insulated bottles and they are also a tight fit.

For those of you who participate in triathlons and are handed Gatorade bottles, these gold said bottles well. The cage is tight enough to hold narrower bottles.

Of the many cages I have used, these behave the best. I have 2 on my road bike and one on my goofy fun bike. You can't really see it in the attached image- that's sot of the point, right?

Nice looking cage, but way too small for average water bottles; I had to remove the center rubber piece for mine to fit.

soft plastic didn't seem likely to scratch the paint like a metal one might.securely held the water bottle but the bottle was easy to remove when I needed to.looks good on the bike.

It seems like the best bet for a good cage at or around $20 right now is this or a Tacx cage. I had used the previous generation of Elite Custom cages on previous bikes, and this new version does feel like an improvement. I've ridden super hard with them this past week in NYC and despite the abuse, I didn't have any bottle movement or noise. Fits perfectly with Camelback Podium Chill 21oz. Though they're on the tight side (removing and placing bottles), it's worth it for the peace of mind while riding. (it just so happens that my TriBit bluetooth speaker also happens to perfectly fit in these cages, so I've been taking

I just put this on the bike and it is functional-holds tightly a regular road bike bottle. A bit tight to insert the bottle but maybe that will loosen with time. Seems to be made from carbon fibre with a rubber joint in the middle. I can't comment on durability as I've just used it once.

This bottle cage is a really good quality. It can hold the bottle firmly. It is really safe on the rough terrain. No need to worry of falling off from the bike. It is highly recommended.
