Was hoping that bit would serve as an amp clamp only. Already have a fluke meter for my voltages and ohm readings. Needed a simple dc clamp to read battery charger outputs and dc motor inputs. Unfortunately this meter missed the mark. Out of the package its reading -8.5 amps with nothing in the clamp. I put it on a known good battery charger at 15 amps and it went to 6.5 amps. So the clamp will be usefull if I add 8 to every amp reading.Even downloaded the app hoping there was a way to zero it through the onboard bluetooth....no such luck.Haven't tried the voltage reading compared to my fluke...but there is no need.Guess I'll just buy a fluke amp clamp. Should have known better I guess.

I have only used this meter for the basic functions so farand it seems to work well for that, AC and DC voltage, AC cycle, continuity and resistance.I have not tried the more advanced functions yet.The clamp meter works ok and gives pretty consistent results most of the time.The build quality is pretty good and the meter feels like it's made from thick and heavy plastic.The display is a bit hard to read and is not not backlit at all.The app for this meter is called AI link.If you scan the QR code included in the directions it takes you to a website where it wants you to download the app .apk file and side load it instead of taking you to the play store to install it from there.I just searched the play store and downloaded it from there though.I was able to create an account for this app and log in to the appThe app is very responsive and shows what setting the meter is on and the value on the meter display displays in the app with a bit more detail.The app can be difficult to log into and to reset the password.Also the meter would not pair to my tablet for some reason.Make sure you remember the password because it can be difficult to reset it and if you read the play store reviews you will see that there are log in problems sometimes.

For the price, this meter is surprisingly well built and accurate to within specifications. Packaged with the meter are a nine-volt battery, a thermocouple, two leads, and a user manual. I primarily use multimeters to measure resistance, AC and DC voltages, amperage, and capacitance. This is my second digital multimeter and I found both to be consistent within specified tolerances, with only minor variations between the two. Different for me was having multiple functions on the same switch position and selecting the different functions using the select button. It’s a nice feature once you get used to it.What impressed me:• The clamp meter is hefty and feels sturdy.• The display is large and easy to read.• It has all the functionality I need and more.• The leads are long, heavy, and should last a very long time.• The mode selector is conveniently located.• This meter is much quicker at displaying results than my other digital meter.• When using the app, the results update in the app nearly instantaneously.• The app permits the recording and saving of results continuously over time.What did not impress me:• The thermocouple consistently reads high between 3 and 5 degrees.• The app is not something that I will typically use as it is easier to read results on the meter.Overall, I am pleased with this clamp meter, and it has earned a place on my workbench. The side by side comparison with results from my other digital meter indicates that this meter is accurate to within specified tolerances. Although the thermocouple is off by a few degrees, it is a function I would probably not use as I have more accurate equipment for measuring temperatures. It's a good buy and certainly worth consideration if you are in the market for a clamp meter.

My old multimeter was from a big box tool store. It was a constant frustration. The leads were too short and needed frequent repair where they connected to the probe tips. It was time for a replacement.Wow, I was pleasantly surprised when I received this meter. First off, the leads are plenty long for my uses, nearly twice the length of those of my old meter. The lead ends have strain relief and silicone shielding. Both are good features for longevity. The meter itself is solid and has a good feel in hand. The display is easy to read and is backlit.The available tests are organized a bit differently than I’m used to, but nothing major. Several test types are combined under one dial setting, the test desired can be changed within each dial position by pressing the SEL (select) button. The test type displays on the meter screen and in the app, if connected. This meter displays temperature from the included probe in Fahrenheit or Celsius. I’ve not had a multimeter that displayed temperatures before and am looking forward to using it for various projects.Having the app, enables easy reading and recording of values and even the ability to read the meter from a distance. The only limitation to reading via the app is to be within Bluetooth range. The app shows values on an analog dial, which is handy to quickly see changes in readings.As others have mentioned, the battery cover requires a very small Phillips screwdriver, size 00. I did not have any issues installing the included 9V battery.The package includes the meter, a pair of test leads, a temperature probe with coiled wire, a case, 9V battery and instruction book. (See pic)I’m very happy with this new multimeter. My old meter is going out the door and I hope this review has been helpful.
