The tool has a nice sturdy grip. the cutting portion of the plier is good for cutting electrical wire , not as great for stripping. This is the opposite of most electrical pliers where the focus is on the stripping function and not cutting. There is no way by default to lock the pliers in a "closed" state for storage in tool box or back pocket. The spring seems like it will be a weak point. It is exposed and seems easily bent - but so far it is ok. If your focus is on cutting with some wire stripping, this is an OK tool.

These are very nice pliers for a great price. I used them to help rewire a trailer and they worked great. The wire cutters are sharp and pretty durable. I had to cut some heavy electric fence wire (I think 10 gauge). It was a chore but these pliers were up to the task. I stripped several wires and they worked great. And the jaws of the pliers have multiple grooves for gripping different shapes. The handle is comfortable to grip.My only hesitations are 1) the durability of the spring, and 2) the risk of getting a nasty pinch. The spring is a wire that is fully exposed between the handles. It does not look very robust and I worry that it could be easily dislodged. I haven’t had an issue yet, but I have only had the pliers for a couple weeks. The other problems is with pinching. I am not even sure how it happened but I got my hand caught between the grips and suffered a pretty nasty pinch with resulting blood blister. I feel like this was a design flaw as I have never had that happen with other electricians pliers. So, be warned.

I like everything about these needle-nose style of electrical pliers EXCEPT that I'm skeptical about the spring. The spring just looks goofy and doesn't seem like it will last.But otherwise, these pliers are built excellent and I think they are worth buying. The handles are awesome, too.
