I needed a J type that would have the ANSI wire code white and red or black and white for ISC I received a Tc with yellow and red leads this would indicate a type K thermocouple that will not work with my meter. someone in the shipping department seems to be color blind

same too me, The item I received was a K-type thermocouple.It has Red and Yellow wires.Also, the package says "TYPE:K" but the "K" is crossed out and a "J" was written with a marker.the wires in amazon show was red and white.

Used it to measure the temperature in a Tin/Lead solder pot. It burned out after 3 heat cool cycles with a maximum temperature of 350C.

The item I received was a K-type thermocouple.It has Red and Yellow wires.Also, the package says "TYPE:K" but the "K" is crossed out and a "J" was written with a marker.According to international standards for thermocouple wire, J-Type has Red/White wires and K-Type has Red/Yellow wires.
