Shackle Line

Metal Shackles are the most commonly used to connect chains or ropes. They can be used in towing, anchor lines, dock lines, and more. Shackles are classified by shape, material, size, and working load limit. There are many types of shackles and different shackle shapes are used over others for various reasons. Our line of shackles is made from type 316 Stainless Steel, considered by many to be best in class. 316 stainless is corrosion resistant and very durable even in the harshest conditions.

  • 316 Stainless is often call "Surgical Steel", as it is the go to grade in Food Handling and Medicine
  • Marine Grade Stainless
  • Ideal for marine use, diving, and chemically harsh environments.

I bought this to attach a rope to my boat anchor. Fits and worked perfectly with my 18lb anchor.

I ordered two of these shackles. I haven't used them yet, but inspected them upon arrival. One shackle appears fine: the pin goes in and out smoothly. For the second shackle, however, I can't get the pin out. Looks like the pin binds on the shackle; either the pin is bend, the shackle is bend or the threads on the pin or the shackle are bad.I am sending this one back to Amazon for a refund and am ordering another one. Maybe just a fluke, but certainly not good if the next one has the same problem. You don't want to start using a shackle whose pin has binding issues as it might get totally stuck upon first use. I will report back once I get the replacement.
