The bag busted in the box. The 10 pack of chain links were loose in the box and I only received 7. Three must have fell out during shipping.

Easy to adjust and threads seem to be well matched to the hardware.

I used these to hang string lights and shade sails in my yard. It's nice to have a turnbuckle since it allows you to change the wire when it stretches. They are very sturdy but also allow for easy removal. Best way to get a good tension on the lines.

These turnbuckles are well made. The threads are freely tightened/loosened. 50 years ago I learned about steamboat ratchets - this is another name for a turnbuckle on steroids. I investigated an industrial accident where one of these failed while lifting a load at twice the rating of the turnbuckle. So, here are two photos of this turnbuckle being subjected to loads. The Photo on the right shows an elevator test weight (40 pounds) suspended from this turnbuckle. No problems. The second photo (on the left) shows my Jet Bandsaw being suspended from the same turnbuckle. The saw weighs 371 pounds. The turnbuckle is supporting the heavy end of the saw 2" above my garage floor. Estimated weight is north of 200 pounds. Please note that this is a static load (not swinging).I am going to be using this turnbuckle and its brothers to tighten my Eco Solar Clothes Dryer elements ( Wires on a clothesline. Anticipated load is far less than 100 pounds) Also, I am going to reinforce my Shed Door using a 3/32" cable from the hinge side at the top to the the bottom of the lock side. Anticipated load is maybe 30 -40 pounds.I am impressed by these turnbuckles. for their small size -( less than a foot at full extension) You can exert a lot of static load. This is a good product.
