I wouldn't trust the import crap that is provided with the large transmission cooler I bought. I'm basically using this stuff for installation and sizeing. This hose seems a little bit more substantial. I still don't like it, but I'm gonna use it. I'll install the cooler with this hose, and next winter when I remove the bumper to paint it, I'm gonna have some custom hydraulic hose and fittings made up, the correct lengths. Yeah its probably overkill, but even though there is low pressure in these lines, your talking hot transmission fluid. Murphys Law states they would only fail half way up a 12 mile hill on a 6% grade on a 110° day pulling my 8k lb. travel trailer. To me the cost of custom hydraulic hose and fittings is cheap insurance and so if something fails on my little rig on such a day, it won't be that cheap import hose.

This hose works really well for transmission cooler line repair and also power steering return line repair it runs at a high enough pressure and is also oil resistant and it spices well when you have a rusted piece of steel wine that you do not want to replace completely and just put the rubber in for the repair it seems to form well to the steel line and holds its strength

Worked as indicated. Used to replace a rotted section of steel transmission cooler line. Cut out the rotted section and replaced with this hose, double clamped on each end. No problems and no more leaks. A little expensive for what it is, but I wanted a line rated for hot oil, which this is, and ,my local auto supply didn't stock it.

First off, the description says this is 25ft long. Of course, it is really the price per foot - so don't expect to get a 25 ft roll for this price. I've always trusted the Gates name for hoses and belts, this appears to be a quality product as well. Only time will tell
