Photos-1,2 are from Tuesday3,4 are from today Sunday5 is the entire set upWorks as it should. Its quiet and efficient. I am VERY VERY happy with it.I currently have been using the "Pond Boss" version of this filter in my "lower" pond. I have had great success with it (in all fairness, it came with the pond from the previous owner so I used it) about a month ago I had the desire to add on to my current set up.I truthfully have no idea what I'm doing lol.My vision came to life! the only problem is... I can't filter both ponds with the filter I had (well...it might be possible but see above lol)The initial filter I have been using has been successful for me. Easy to care for and it works! But I quickly found out there are a million filters in all shapes, sizees, diameters and GPH!! all these come in a range of prices. I wanted to stay frugal...but still be effective. After looking for days, I decided to stick with the same system I was currently using. BUT of course the brand was no longer available this "Total Pond" one is exactly like my current, so I went with it. It is just perfect. I hooked it up on Tuesday after noon, we left for the weekend and I came back to this beauty on Sunday evening.(Some experienced folk might notice I didn't even hook up the water fountain head. That was intentional because my main focus was filtering out the junk and not clogging the spray head while we were gone...well as you can see it was perfect. But yes, the fountain head works like it should too)

Filter does a great job on small ponds. I have an 80 Gallon and this filter does the job.

I got this filter to drop in the bottom of a 300 gallon water trough in which I kept my turtle. Per spec, it should be able to filter the entire tank every hour. On the plus side, the pump definitely could handle the volume of water. No problem there. I have three complaints, though:1) Filter tried very hard to wander away. Even throwing some rocks in the casing was not sufficient to anchor it to a single spot on the bottom. I frequently would find it floating on the surface.2) The construction of the filter guarantees that a significant amount of water is passing through the device without getting filtered. Basically there's a sponge kind of like you would use in the kitchen, a coarser sponge, and some... balls... not clear how they work. But the two sponges have a hole in the middle through which the tube carrying the filtered water passes. This hole is larger than the tube and not a tight fit. Also, even if you position the filter perfectly, the sponges just kind of sit over the top of the filter box -- water can easily go around the edges. I don't really understand how the balls are supposed to work so I can't comment on them.3) Filter did not keep water clean for more than a couple of days. Now, turtles are super dirty, so that could be a major part of it, but I was expecting the filter to keep the water in my tank at least semi-transparent for at least, you know, 4 or 5 days after doing a full water change. It does not. The water was probably better off than if I wasn't using a filter, but kinda hard to say for sure.

Nowhere at point of sale, in the instructions, or on the cover wrapping does it say not to plug the unit into Australia's 240v system! Once I received the unit and saw the power plug was US I went and bought an adapter so it could be plugged into an Australian power point. Turned the unit on once it was submerged in the pond and promptly blew the motor. I finally saw written on the pump that the unit is 120v. It would have been good to know this prior to buying as I could have bought a converter as well as an adaptor. Now I have a useless pump and have wasted my money. I'm very disappointed in the manufacturer's decision to not include a warning (at point of sale, in the instructions, or in the packaging) that this unit is not made for Australian power points.

Received this earlier this week. Getting my small pond ready for the season and the filter cleared up my mucky pond water within a day. Easy to disassemble and clean the cansiter and replace. I added two rocks to the top to help secure in place and keep level. I've had a similar filter in previous years they didn't have the box. It fell over once and completely drained my pond water by spraying it over the side wall. Good product and pump is powerful enough for my need.

It is a nice fountain, the only downside is that it is too light so it floats. I had to put rocks inside to help keep it on the bottom of my pound.

Very easy to assemble and operate. The only issue I had with this filter is that it floats and had to be weighted down with rocks.

I have a 350 gallon outdoor pond with 3 turtles and a couple dozen minnows. The filter works very well to keep the water clean. It's a biological filter and needs a few weeks to allow for the build up of good bacteria. Once the bacteria blooms, the water stays clear.I clean the filter pads about once every 3 months and clean out the entire filter once every 6 months when I move the turtles from their outdoor pond to their indoor pond and vice versa. This filter coupled with a UV filter to kill algae (what causes the water to turn green) has kept the pond water crystal clear. If the pond wasn't in full sunlight, the UV filter wouldn't been needed.I have had this setup for over 2 years and have been very happy with it. Since the turtles are getting larger, I will be going with a larger pump, but the setup will remain the same.
