I had been searching for a small diameter pickup tool. I had to drill into the head of an engine to get out glow plugs that had rusted in place and had failed. In order to get all the way down into the pre-combustion chamber. The plugs are only about .2" in diameter so many common pickup tools were too large & I was having difficult with grinding/cutting magnets to size to use. The lead wire if flexible yet still to allow you to reach around in the space without it going limp or sticking to one side of the space or the other. My only complaint is that the magnetic surface is only the rounded point at the end. For me project I would have preferred a pickup tool with a magnet on all sides (front/back/sides), but otherwise it worked well and was strong enough to pull out some larger pieces I couldn't grab with my needle nose pliers.

This was exactly what I was looking for concerning size and shape. I didn't find anything else anywhere else that would fit down my bathtub drain. I actually would have liked even a bit smaller for my drain, but it was exactly as advertised when I bought it.
