The 75 OHM RG179 cable consists of a solid-center conductor, followed by dielectric insulation and braided aluminum shielding sandwiched between one layers of aluminum-foil shielding.
The coaxial cable protects against EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) and RFI (Radio Frequency Interference), which can distort signals as they arrive to the receiver. With minimal line interference, the cable delivers crisp, clear sound and pure video.

Supported devices: Supports HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, component, composite, MADI, WORD CLOCK, SYNC, etc. It can transmit up to 1080p resolution for "high quality" HDTV (high definition television). Standard-definition (uncompressed) digital video is also transmitted. Compatible with any device with SDI output, such as a camera or monitor. You can connect the video of the crime prevention equipment between the equipment.

This stuff works well, but it is bloody murder to handle in long pieces - more than twelve or so feet - stiff and will kink if you're not careful.

Unfortunately, the cable is very loose on both ends. Own a few other from same brand and found most are ok, but this one seems to be no good. Meant to return but past return period now.

I was immediately impressed at how well and simple this cable was made. Very flexible, looked smaller while coiled up until a laid it all out. Very durable and connectors are made really well. While these aren't the thickest cables around they certainly may be the most versatile. Also, works perfectly with my Blackmagic 3g convertors and ATEM mini pro on great broadcasting cameras. Superbat is truly the way to go, very satisfied customer!
